Lately, I have been realizing I’m lucid a lot, or Lucidity always pops up in my dreams a lot, but the main problem I have is FA. They ALWAYS get me. What are some tips I can use to stay Lucid? Here is a part from my dream journal from last night.
"All of a sudden, I think that it could be a dream. I “Twirl” because I want to change the background, but I am “Woken up” when my brother, who is carrying forks and knifes in his hand, is shirtless and covered in a weird rash, starts jumping around on my bed. I say “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU I ALMOST HAD A LUCID DREAM” I try to look at my hands and notice 6 fingers, but when I try to check again he blocks my view. He stabs me a bit with the forks before walking away. (I also tried shouting out INCREASE CLARITY but for some reason it doesn’t work. Anyone know why?) "
The best way to realize that you have a FA is to do RC the moment you wake up… They usually are with you in bed or with the morning theme, so when you wake up the first thing you do is RC!
There are reports that for some shouting help and for other don’t. For me it works perfectly… I guess you should try it a few more time and see if it actually works or not. If shouting doesn’t work try spinning technique or rubbing hands, those bring a specific sensation and feeling that “relink” you again with the dream…
I normally use the spinning and rubbing techniques. And I do use RCs when I wake up, but for some reason other DCs keep trying to prevent me. I’ve been having what I think are “Shared Dreams” very recently with a friend. Could that be related, somehow my mind wants me to stay unaware?
I don’t think that this is because of the shared dream, and to be honest I didn’t had any LD with DC, and just a few NLD with DC. For some reason I don’t dream too much about other people!
Only suggestion that I have is to be persistent, take a time with LD and you will succeed…
You have to remember that your mind, your SC, is a part of yourself and as such won’t (or can’t) act against you You could try to use awareness checks instead of physical RC’s, it would be a lot more difficult for DC’s to block your mind I guess Also, is it common that you get disturbed in the morning after waking up? If not, than this would be a perfect DS: You know almost for sure that you are dreaming if someone disturbs you when you just woke up!
I don’t normally get disturbed. I also had a FA while trying to use the spinning technique. Whenever I use the spinning technique, I ALWAYS have FAs, like one time I dreamed in my FA that I rolled off the bed.
