This question might have been discussed before but i didnt find it when i searched the forum.
I have heard about VILD before but i didnt know exactly what i have to do to achive a lucid dream this way I know you have to visualize as you fall asleep and add reality checks but i dont know what else to do to help me
Has anyone tried and been successful with VILD? and is there any tips u can give me?
The first post is long but it gives you lots of descriptions and examples of what you need to do, and then if you want to read the discussions on it, you can keep reading the topic. There’s more than one part, so on the last post of that particular thread there’s a link to part 2 (not sure if there’s more parts, I don’t usually look at VILD).
I can’t help too much myself since I really don’t have experience with VILD, but I can contribute a link with lots of information, so here’s what I have.
Figure out a simple scenario. Example: I’m in a room. The room is painted red and theer is a brown door in the corner. A friend walks in to the room and says “hey, let’s do an RC, you might be dreaming.” I do an RC, and I am dreaming.
Once you have the scenario, play it over and over in your head as you fall asleep (like WILD this is best done when you are about to enter REM sleep, like 5-6 hours after going to bed). Repeat the scene exactly, don’t change a thing.
Keep going, keep repeating. Don’t go any farther than the RC. Don’t plan a full dream, just keep repeating the scenario.
Eventually, if all goes well, either you will enter into a dream and the RC at the end of the scenario will confirm it; if done earlier in the night you will later have a dream with this scenario placed into it. That, my children, is called incubation.
