how do i get past rem onset?

i have found that i can relax myself enough to reach rem onset, i dont feal im losing concentration. but then again i could be. if it helps to explain what stage i was at, i felt like i was entering my brain? (sounds weird buts the only way i can explain how i felt.) it was like i was tilting backward into my mind. not sure if i was close to dream state or not. let me know what stage you think im in and some tips to go farther.
