I’ve told myself to wake up from an LD a few times. First time i got a very short OBE, just sitting up in my bed. The next time i could feel the vibrations and hear the sound but i didnt move (dunno why). And twice i got FA or “False OBE” from it. So i’ve only had one real OBE. Can i turn a LD into an OBE some other way then saying “I wanna wake up” and wish myself luck?
i heard of one technique in which you wish to “exit” the dreamscape and just start flying very fast as high as you can and you will exit the dream and continue in OBE without waking up.
I’ve tried to do this only a couple of times… and I wouldn’t advise trying to get back in bodily awareness, sleep paralysis, etc. – from a lucid dream, I just wake up.
Meditating in the dream itself, worked really well for me recently. Except for starting me off someplace unfamiliar, the result imitated my Wake Initiated OBE’s perfectly! Including my poor extramotor skills.
Going to a OBE without waking up sounds hard, but i can try to say “I wanna turn this LD into a OBE”. I got FA when i was saying something like “I wanna wake up and have a OBE”. I wasnt thinking about OBE’s at all when i got real vibrations and sounds by just telling myself to wake up.
Thanks i will read your DJ EllyEve
You can’t . The OBE and LD look different , but aren’t . These are two names for a unic experience . Why ?
The Human Being is double :
1 . A physical , a so - called real body , day to day body .
2 . A energetic one , in which shift your awareness at night or through training .
From my research , those FA , are in fact , Real Awakenings in a real world , energetically different from ours .
Thank you for listening me .
I highly doubt that
that’s what most ancient civilizations said, and they were proven to be wrong, as dreams are just neurons firing off inside your head
But all experience is just neurons firing off inside our heads. I’m eating corn flakes and chocolate soy milk now, but just because there’s activity in the parts of my brain in charge of processing taste and initiating digestion, doesn’t mean that corn flakes don’t exist.
True, though, the only real way we can really tell if an OBE is an OBR (out of body reality) is if we witness something during an OBE that we can verify later as having happened, with no other way of us knowing. Like Charles Tart’s experiment with an OBE’r who correctly identified a random number held out of sight (25132) – suspiciously, a named subject like Robert Monroe couldn’t even do that.
So the experiences at least are very distinct, and the only concern of a hobbyist who isn’t out to prove an OBR to anyone but themselves, would be to imitate that distinctiveness.
Research as in, “reading the works of a lot of different people on this topic” or, research as in, “conducted an experiment firsthand”? Because if it were the former, I would be very interested in knowing what you’ve been reading. (If it were the latter, I’m puzzled at how the qualification of reality would work and the leap from hypothesis to fact even if it was peer-reviewed. )
For the record: I believe dreams and OBE are (slightly) different things and that OBE’s are real. I have prepared the playing card experiment to prove for myself that OBE’s are real, but first i need to have an OBE
