How long did it take you to have them regularly, I’ve had three accidentally in my life, but not regularly.
Search - there are plenty of other threads about this.
Different people take different amounts of time.
Oh, I forgot to mention - most people avoid answering.
Sureal, he asked about you.
Yeah, and I decided to avoid answering .
hummm…
Don’t worry about time frames. Just have patients, seriously and consistently practice your techniques. Adding time to the equation just sets up barriers to your progress. If you practice they will come. That is all you need to worry about.
Guess I avoided the question to.
doesn’t avoid the question
For me, it took just a few days to have one. If you really work at it, they’ll come way faster. I’m not trying as hard now and I haven’t had any in a while.
LOL !
I would say, an average time is 3 weeks. But it depends of the technique : for instance, I’m trying to WILD for years, without success. DILD seems to be easier for most people.
I would say that is about the average as well however, it is not a rule. There are people who have lucid dreams on their first night yet, others take several months. The reason I do not like to talk about time is that people tend to set their standards by other people. This can be a disaster with lucid dreaming because motivation and a positive attitude play a huge role in LD success. If I tell someone that they should see results in about 3 weeks then people may not try as hard thinking that it is going to take them at least 3 weeks. On the other hand if a person practices for a month and still comes up dry they might get frustrated and erroneously think something is wrong with them. In reality nothing could be further from the truth. Everyone progresses at their own pace.
This is a hard question to answer for me, because lucidity seems to come in “seasons” for me. I will go through spells where I don’t remember a LD for a whole month, and other months where I remember a LD every week.
I have been actively pursuing lucid dreaming for over 10 years, and it was after I started having them naturally and learned the term “lucid dreaming.”
I say the moment I found out about the popular concept of lucid dreaming I started to have them regularly, … but it’s never “regular” since my dream recall can have dry spells.
