How to think to do a RC

Hello!
I’m searching a mean to remember to do RC because in the day, i never remember to do it. The week, I can’t put an alarm because I am at the school. If you have ideas, let me know!

Come up with something you do a few times every day, like eating. Then you can decide to do it whenever you eat. Eventually your mind will think eating=RCs and you’ll remember to do them both in real life and in dreams

I myself just do RC’s when i remember them. I have had more than 100 LD’s and I now mostly get lucid without doing an RC in the dream. I have read about others that have had a lot of LD’s like me and they’re also mostly becoming lucid without RC. But for beginners RC is an essential technique.

Ok I’ll try this!

Hi… I was also having trouble remembering to do RC but I fount a great way… get yourself a digital watch… one that beeps every hour and just do a RC everytime the watch beeps… sorted

if your school has a bell perform and RC whenever it goes, thats what i do at school

How about you write “reality check” on either the palm or back of your hand? You’ll likely see it a lot throughout the day, and the writing might even go into your dreams too.

mmm… Good ideas

I have some bad experience with this one. I was writing ‘RC’ on my hand and thanks to the PG that made me lose the game (you’re welcome btw), and so I actually did a facepalm :ack:. Turns out the rest of the day I had ‘RC’ written (mirrored) on my forehead… and my friends didn’t bother to tell me.
But apart from that it should do fine as a method

I personally have a totem, in my case a little hanger around an old guitar string around my neck. It doesn’t work as it does in Inception but simply everytime it jiggles around or I touch it I do a RC. There should be some interresting topics on this.

My friend and i were doing RCs too to get our first LDs. He had the idea to write an “A” on his hand, and every time he saw it he did an RC. This also worked great. You may ask why we dont just write "Reality Check" on our hands. The answer is: we did that first, but then everybody wanted to know what Reality Check means. So its quite normal (for me although) to have a character write on your hand, and then they won`t ask most of the times. It has helped us to deal with the questions, but think about it. What would you do if someone from your school has an unknown word on his hand? I should ask what it mean.

Happy LD`ing!

LOL good idea!
