I have written down many dreams in my dream diary. I have looked after my dreamsigns, etc. and have found a few.
Anyway, now I have got a interest of understanding the meaning of my own dreams. Do anyone know about some links to check out to get started?
This is very risky area. When it comes to interpreting meanings of the dreams there are heaps of dream dictionaries, witches, psychics…anything you want. And on the top of it we dont even know if dreams have a meaning at all.
But…in my opinion one and only way to interprete meanings is to be done by yourself cause you`re only one to know what feelings or emotions some ppl, objects or symbols bring. For one dreaming about the sea will be pleasant for other horryfying…so on so on.
So far ive seen one book dealing with it all in sensfull way- Kenneth Kelzer “Sun and the shadow- my experiment with lucid dreaming”- its also great read for lucid dreamers ,not only ones who look for dream meanings.
Good luck
yeah …jack is right! There are dream dictionarys for common dreamsigns and dream symbols ( just do a yahoo or google search…there are hundreds!!). HOWEVER, DREAM SYMBOLS HAVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS FOR EVERYONE!! Since we all make different associations in our minds, dream symbols, such as basements for example, mean different things for everyone. One person could associate basements with darkness or feeling cold and lonely, while another person could associate basements with the deep, hidden things in their lives. It all depends on YOU. Generic dream symbol definitions are a good starting point, but you need to really get personal with yourself or someone who can interpret dreams to find out what they mean in your case!
dreams may verry well have meanings tho i dont think this is it. i think normal dreams where you have no real controll are possibly visions of someone elses lucid dream and you are just a DC of thiers, and when you become lucid you take controll of your own. but if there is any meaning it is more to do with the dream controllers intentions.
