I can't do WBTB anymore!

I read that it’s best to use WBTB with MILD/WILD. And I have had good results with WBTB before resulting in my current LD count. But the thing is I can’t wake up anymore! :cry: I sleep right through my DS alarm now, so I decided to use my radio alarm that with the volume off makes a louder beeping noise. That doesn’t wake me up either and only upsets my mom’s dogs and makes them bark (which makes my mom very upset if its really early :grrr: )

During school now my mom wakes me up, and I often drag myself to the living room and fall back asleep for an hour or so before getting around (don’t worry I’m always on time :smile:) Pretty much the only thing keeping me awake is being late for school.

With school I decided to have WBTB attempts on the weekends so I can set the clock for later (around 5-6 am) but that still doesn’t work. If I’m lucky I’ll barely wake up and fall asleep again a second later. :sad:

I have looked into some suggestions such as putting an alarm under a pillow. I sleep on a waterbed and often shift positions while asleep so my alarm (which would have to be my DS since the radio one has a really short cord) would either get thrown on the floor or lost in my bed.

Watch alarms seem really expensive and I don’t own a cell phone. The tv wouldn’t do any good either.

I really want get back to WBTB and get more LD’s. It seems I can sleep through anything. Once a really severe storm hit us and the dogs went crazy barking, but I never knew it happened until the next day and the news went over it. I then asked my mom if it stormed the night before. One of my actual fears is sleeping right through a tornado. :scared:

And for any confusion I can wake up normally which, on the weekends when I can sleep in a bit, is usually around 10am-1pm depending on how late I stayed up.

Is it possible for you to get to bed any earlier?

I don’t think so. My school bedtime is 9:30 and I don’t usually even fall asleep until later. My P.E classes in school are tiring me out so I do fall asleep a little closer to 9:30 now.

Does anyone have any ideas that would wake me up or anyone with the same problem? :confused:

Try doing autosuggestion. Just tell yourself to wake up at a certain time and hopefully you will.

Hm, I tried the autosuggestion last night. I told myself a few times I’d wake up at 3am. Then my mind went elsewhere and I fell asleep eventually. I had a really weird dream and this one part was sort of a nightmare. I woke up and it was around 2:47 am. Did it work or was it probably concidence? I know I’ll have to try it more often, though.

It might have worked, drink a lot of liquid then you’d be able to wake up to go to the bathroom at 3AM :happy:
