I will have a ND in a certain place then months later i will have a dream at that exact place. Different DC that i interact with, but the same place in everyway. When i go to that place the second time, (or third or however many times ive been there), i still cant recognize it and become lucid. No matter how much preperation, i cannot remember anything once i am dreaming.
Do you keep a DJ? IF not you should…
Also it just takes time, i don’t know how long you’ve been trying but it took me 6 months before my first one…
If recognizing dream qualities that prove you are dreaming doesn’t work for you, there are always other methods of doing it. Reality checking A LOT by trying to breathe through your nose while it’s pinched closed seems to work. Also MILD is another technique good for beginners. You should experiment with more than one technique to see which one works for you, but don’t go giving up on a technique the first time around either! Most techniques require a little time to get working (reality check…)
If you want to stick with the dream locales thing still, you could sort of start a ‘dreamscape map’…like write down all your recurring dream locales, and then sort of go thru them in waking life, almost like youre revisiting (visualization skills help), maybe at the same time think ‘next time i am here, i will question my reality’. Such will probably result in you dreaming more about such locales as well…
Do you recognize the locale while in the dream? Or does your DC self act as if they have never been there before? I dont know how relevant this question is but it would be interesting to see how others experience recurring dream locales. Personally, my DC self always seems to act as if the recurring surroundings are familiar. A few times ive almost become lucid because of the recurrance, thinking ‘ive been here before in a dream’. But only if im aware enough to think about my surroundings like that…
Dont forget about other methods tho. The more methods you try, the merrier, right?
Same thing happens with me…
I usually just say something like, ‘Oh! I haven’t been here in ages!’ or ‘I really liked this place last time I came here.’
And that’s even if I recognise that I’m there for the second (or more) time.
