Ok, now that i’ve got the dream recall out of the way, (I can remember one or more dreams per day ) I need to find a method to make me remeber to do RC’s during the day. I’ve tried saying stuff like ( Do one everytime i see someone i haven’t seen today, do one everytime i look at my hands) but i keep forgetting to do them.
I don’t have a vibrating watch or something like that.
Is there a way for me to remember to do RC’s?
Sure. It’s all habit Slypt. When I first started doing this I had the same problem, until randomly, I did it in a dream and became lucid. Remember, A reality check can be anything to make you realize you are dreaming. I think the first reality check I did while dreaming was touching water. Its not in the books but I didn’t get wet, therefore it must be a dream. so I encourage you to get creative, you don’t have to do the same thing every time. It may help you remember to do an RC if you are thinking “What new kind of RC can I do next time?” and just keep it in mind.
Also, keep it in your head to do RC’s when you start to think things are “off” or strange. Then it isn’t quite as bad that you don’t remember to do them all the time. There have been times in RL that I thought I was dreaming. I’ve got my head wired so it just goes straight to RCs every time that happens. A couple of weeks ago, for example, I was in the car half asleep during a long drive home. I was going in and out of hypnogoia when my little sister says there is a full moon. I realize we had a new moon just a few days ago and I immediately do every RC I can think of. (Turns out it was rounded but not really full-she’s young) but you get the picture.
Also, remember your dreamsigns and connect them to RC’s. For example, twice in dreams I’ve become lucid when I realize cars are parked strangely. Once when I saw our minivan pakred diagonally in the garage, another when my boyfriend’s car was parked sideways in the middle of the road. a complete block on a T intersection. Both times I did RC’s to make sure.
hope this helps. Good luck!
thats up to willpower and you wont get an LD until you get yourself to do them. I suggest the hand one to start out, then the nose one each time you walk thru a doorway. after that, you should move onto clocks, then just constantly be contemplating the fact that you could be in a dream.
hopefully you get an LD soon.
P/S - whats W.I.P stand for? in your LD count?
Thanks for the tips I will give my insight once i start trying this out, and I’ll see if i can do them regularly
