I had a AP today within five minutes of lying down. the strange thing about it, is i had full awarness. i was just aware as i an right now, and it was pretty easy to seperate from my body. i was a little scared, because ive never been that aware while being out, and once again it felt easy as if i could do it any time. why is this? is it the time of day? the direction im facing. why is it sometimes i can project with very little effort, and other times i have to really work to get my astral bodys vibration built up. sometimes when im sitting up and i really focus i can feel my astral body, but it takes some serious concentration, and i can only feel it when i hold my breath. is there something i can do to have APs like the one i had today? sometimes its so easy to do other times not so much. please let me know if you have the same problem. i didnt plane on APing it was just spontanious, and felt i could have done it standing up. maybie its the moon phase.
Kava, you lucky duck! I wish I had spontaneous astral projections! If you wish to have mastery over AP, I’d recommend buying a book called Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. He is quite an expert in the field, and the book has everything you need to know.
A couple tips:
It’s much much easier to AP when you have not eaten for at least 3 hours, and it’s especially easy to AP in the morning, around when you wake up.
Chakra stimulation before your attempt will do wonders for you.
If you feel that sometimes it’s much easier than others, you could write a table with columns for all those variables you mentioned and more (vividness, time of day, direction you’re facing, when you’ve last eaten, your overall mood, moon phase, when you smoked your last joint, etc) and them fill a row each time you AP. It’s a technique borrowed from people who get migraines and don’t know why… It’s a bit of a pain in the ass, but if helps to figure out what affects you - and what’s a greater reward than self-knowledge and easy and vivid AP?
Also, if you’re interested in Robert Bruce as Dazino suggested, you (or anyone else too) can send me a private message and I can mail you some of his material I have here.
that would be great. i know i can master APing. ive been having them for about 16 years now, but never really tried to master it. im going to focus on APing, and take a brake from LDs. i know some people think there the same, but there not. i allso need to learn how to speak in the astral planes its harder to talk when APing then it is LDing, because when APing you have more awarnees of your physical body. so you feel sleep paralization. i can move, but my astral body feels weak from feeling my physical body. my vibration might be strong, but i feel so relaxed its hard to spak. so im going to focus on APing until i master all the problems i have. i am over coming my fears.
what is astral projection…like whats the point of it?
Um, well for me its to have an actual personal experience that shows you that you can exist out of your body and view the real-time environment around you. Also… its fun, and amazing, and weird… and lots of people think its not possible!!! lol
I have a question about something that happened to me.
I don’t have much experience with AP so I want to know if this experience I had could have been just this. I was laying down in the afternoon to take a nap and about 5 minuets in I felt kinda uncomfortable and I think I needed to adjust my pants or something. I felt extremely lazy and it was impossible for me to move because of it. I know it wasn’t SP because I didn’t feel numb or anything that I usually feel in SP… It was so strange to feel too lazy to even move.
So I attempted to fix my pants, and I started to move my hands down toward them to do it. It felt so strange like I didn’t the strength to move my hands any further. Then I found out that I really never moved my hands at all, I felt them back in place where they were before. This was the strangest thing. It was almost like I knew I was too lazy to move, I wanted to get comfortable, but I only thought about it and I kept on feeling like I was. I tried over and over, I kept thinking I’m really going to move this time, I was very convinced that I did a few times, then turned out to be in the same position. I felt so helpless… and started to get a little scared, so I tried very hard to get up out of bed, I started to get up and my eyes were closed still and then I ended back into my body. I could not control my physical body no matter how hard I tried. Like I was stuck in a way I guess.
Sorry for the long post, it’s just hard to explain this type of experience. So what was going on here?
It could be that you moved your astral hands because your pants were bothering you? Did you feel like you moved them, but then realised that you hadn’t actually changed anything physically (like actually adjusting your pants)? If so then that’s what i guess may have happened? Sometime people experience their hands or legs become free but are still in their physical body otherwise.
