last night i was dreaming that i was at some lake, i used an inner tube to get to the other side where i stoel some beef jerkey from a small store, the guy saw me and started coming after me, this is where the dream got scary, i ran and when i got back to the resort i was staying at he was already there looking for me, so i ran back through the woods and got to a huge lake, this eventually led me back to a dirt road whre i saw his truck! i hid under this wooden platform but he found me and i woke up from fear.
then i tried to fall back asleep while telling myself i would become lucid, it worked! but instead of going back to the lake, i appeared on top of the dazzling white building with cherry blossom trees all around it, i looked to the sky to see if it looked cool but i was greeted by clouds i also had a lightsaber with me!? i started down the roof to go look for the guy so i could confront him and it all started to fade, i looked at my hand and spun around but all was lost and i woke up… but i finnaly succeeded!! it only lasted abouot 10-15 seconds.
and i was wondering why i had the lightsaber? i thought that when you had an LD you just whre there by yourself, i didnt know you could appear with accesories
and also it didnt seem as real as i thought, it was kinda hazy as if i was almost not there, are there several levels of lucidity?
I admit it’s rather curious, but you have to remember it’s a dream… and dreams are often curious! You can somehow control it and change its content, but in the beginning, the dream is build by your unconscious, so it’s quite normal there are strange things in it.
There are several levels of lucidity, and there are several levels of realism. You may be very lucid (thinking as well as when you’re awake) in a poorly realistic dream.
Congrats on your first lucid dream. I hope you’ll try another level of realism in your next LD!
Lucretia88,
Salvia is a strong hallucinogenic and it can even be dangerous. Here is the info you can find on this forum :
So it’s a drug which has not to be taken thoughlessly. Moreover, it does not seem to have any great effect on dream vividness.
So when you give a beginner (who may be 13 old, as the main part of the members are about 15) the advice of smoking a strong hallucinogenic, without warning him about the effects, don’t you think it looks like a very bad joke? Please remember too that the “First Step to Lucidity” section is there in order to learn how to dream lucidly and not to learn how to do drugs. For those reasons, I don’t find your advice to be extremely judicious.
