I have a bit of a problem.

For a while I have been trying to lucid dream and fortulately I have had a few short but sweet lucid dreams. But what is weird is that I only have lucid dreams when I am not trying to lucid dream. When I first learned about lucid dreams I began trying immediately. For a long time I couldn’t lucid dream at all. After about a month or 2 I gave up. That night I had my first lucid dream. I don’t really have a method to lucid dream. Most nights before I go to sleep I meditate which helps me lucid dream and remember my regular dreams. Usualy I remember my dreams better when I sleep someplace other than my bed (for example: my friends house, or on the couch). There is something about giving up… But anyways does anybody have any tips for having more lucid dreams and remembering my regular dreams better?

That’s your problem right there . Pick a tech and stick with it for AT LEAST two weeks before giving up on it (MILD and WBTB used together seems to work quite well for begininers). Pick two or three RC’s and take them throughout the day. And keep a DJ.

As for the giving up thing - yeah. That does seem to work. That is why someone has been trying and failing to LD for a long time, we suggest that a break for a while.

To remember your dreams better, try repeating the mantra ‘I will remember my dreams’ in your head as you fall asleep. If you find it’s keeping you awake (say, after half an hour), you can stop.
WBTB also helps you remember your dreams. As does keeping a DJ.

Hope that helps .

Thank you very much. I will try again
