I have excellent dream recall, and I remind myself how things will feel in a dream before I go to sleep, yet recently lucidity has been out of my reach.
The method I have been using is recording my dreams and self suggestion of having lucidity… not sure on what else I can do here. I have tried the “trying to breathe through plugged nose” RC, I don’t really remember to do it all that often though through WL, perhaps if I put more of an effort into that I will be able to lucid dream again. Has anyone been in my state before and had a method that worked well? Remember, I have excellent dream recall I just find it difficult to realise I’m dreaming. Open to suggestions! Thanks.
If someone had any suggestion it would be nice, cause I have the same kind of problem. I never had a LD actually. (I’m trying like 4 months now, I did o.a. WILD, MILD and RC’s IRL. But I never had a LD.
I have a good dream recall, but It’s hard for me to realize I’m dreaming. I never really realized I’m dreaming.
Once in a dream I said: I know it better. I was there and besides it’s my dream so I can deside it. But the next second I just forgot it I think I wasn’t REALLY realizing I was dreaming.
And several times I talked about LDing in my dreams. A cople of days ago I was thinking I’m gonna dream about this, just really thougt that that would be. Not like I wanted it, more like I just thought it. It came in my dream but I didn’t realize I was dreaming.
BlackAngel, when you do your RC’s do you actually question whether you are dreaming or not, or do you just kind of do them and carry on with what you are doing? the trick to them is to actually question your surroundings, you have to look around and think in your mind, “wow, i might actually be dreaming” its actually a really cool feeling, becoming aware of yourself and your surroundings, its very blissfull sometimes, i think the eventual goal is to always be in that state of self awareness, but that would be very hard to do in the world we live in :-P, oh well, good luck with your attempts (maybe i’ll take my own advice some day haha)
Sometimes it’s more like I do them, but most of the time I’m really thinking it’s a dream
Two times I really, really, really thougt the real world was a dream. But it wasn’t, I know now for sure. I did a lot of RC’s and they failed. I was still doubting if it wasn’t a dream. But I never wake up from it, and all my RC’s failed so it must be the real world. But it didn’t feel like it. That was kind of weird actually.
I try to do every time I do an RC to really think I’m dreaming. But now I think about it I never did any RC in my dream. At least not that I remember. But I be patient and keep going with RC’s and other techniques. Sometimes it works if you don’t do any technique at all for a couple of days and don’t even think about LDing. So I’m gonna try that next week cause then I’m on vacation. And I can’t live a day without LD4all when I can go to LD4all
BlackAngel, those dreams are pre-lucid dreams. It’s a good sign. The more you have them, the more chances to get a LD. It means your technique is OK. Just keep up with it!
