I just can't have any fun

Since I’ve started practicing methods, and keeping a dream diary. I have experienced a few things over the past week.

First,
I got perfectly relaxed, and closed my eyes and kept repeating a saying like “you will have a lucid dream” or something of that nature until I fell asleep. Right as i got into a dream out of no where REALLY LOUD came a voice " YOU ARE IN A DREAM " :cheesy: I tried to run, but woke up instantly, feeling my legs jolt a bit.

Second,
Two nights later, I used suneye method 1, and had a nightmare. ! I haven’t had a nightmare in a long time. Well anyway, me and 2 others were trapped in this house with 2 criminals, and another criminal called the house to make sure it was the right one. My sister picked up the phone and convinced the criminal that it was the wrong house and he apparantly bought it. During the conversation I remembered a few hours after I awoke that she said something really strange like " The smoke that comes from this house makes for GREAT lucid dreams, I’ve had some real good ones, the lucid dreams are a lot of fun – everyone should try them in this house" ( Something along those lines, it was at least 15 seconds of discussing it :cheesy: ) I got really nervous that she was going to give away that we were in the house and the convo completely went in one ear and out the other… NOOOOO! I perfectly executed Suneye method 1 also … why didn’t I go lucid??

it happens to the best of us. have patience. it’ll come :alien:

Just a little anecdote of my own that fits in quite well. In a dream I was in my old school from 4 years ago. Nope didn’t recognize it as a dreamsign. I had just finished watching a basketball game and the place was underquarantine. Still didn’t recognize anything as strange. I managed to run past the guys in the big white suits(can’t think of real word going to bed after finish post. . . .) I thought to myself “Gee this would be a good time to try lucid dreaming” so I kept running home.

It is annoying to totally miss a dreamsign, isn’t it? I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with this myself.

Once, I was dreaming that I was in the office of my school reporting eight stolen bikes that I saw on the road. Suddenly, I turned to my friend beside me and said “Oh my gosh, was that a dream? Am I crazy?” She said, “No, it wasn’t…I was there.” “Are you sure it wasn’t a dream? I think it was.” “No.” This went on for nearly 5 minutes, and I still didn’t get it. Oh well.

Another time, I dreamed I was in bed writing in my dream journal. I noticed that I spilled blue ink on my pants and I went to wash it off. Then I realized it was a dream. After that, I experienced and FA, got out of bed and went down to see my mom in the kitchen. I told her about the dream, and then showed her my pants, saying “So I really got PURPLE ink on them!” So oblivious. D’oh!

Best of luck,
Pinkster :lmao:

Since I joined this site I have been having lucid dreams here and there. They key to get the high lucidity is when you have the low lucid dreams , Don’t try to pull out all the stops and try to break into high lucidness. Just observe how it feels to be lucid and don’t do anything to dirastic. You must take it VERY slowly or you will overwhelm yourself. And if you have a feeling your dreaming 99% of the time you ARE.

That should help you some I hope.
