hi, i am lain, i am a beautiful young model, but when i exit my body, into a lucid dream, i want to travel about as a point\as in, a mathematical point, where my consciousness is associated with the point, & i can see, hear, etc, through the point\by the way, i am a zen buddhist& they say models brains are so small!!!\
Welcome to LD4all
I never recall the Zen Buddhists saying this…
everybody says it\but anyway, size doesnt matter (he he he)
OK, I am not a hundred percent sure that I get your point. I get your goal, and the fact that you’re a zen buddhist, and also a model, but I don’t get the point. The point is brought up that people think that models are dumb, so is the point that that’s not true? You’ll find that people aren’t really judgemental here, so don’t worry about that.
Also, the idea of you as a point on a line seems interesting, but I’m not sure that I get everything that your point entails. What significance would being a single point carry?
thank you, fiver, for your interesting comments\i am just saying that i am very intellectual for a model, & some people actually think that cant happen\i find the idea of traveling about as a mathematical point fascinating, because it is the ultimate in miniaturization\to travel very far, you must travel light, & with the point, all you are is nothing, until you decide to use one of your senses\you are really just your consciousness, purely, attached to a point
Please explain the point thing your talking about. It really intrests me because I think I have experienced something along the line of this, a point being a consciencness. I didnt understand it or anything just thought I was crazy. I really, really cant explain what I experienced (kinda a religious thing that happened a long time ago which changed my belief) but what you were talking about a point kinda sonded a bit like it.
Ah, but just to get philisophical, think about this: what if you already are a mathmatical point?
If I understand you correctly I would think that what you are talking about might be possible so long as you can still manage to maintain some sort of sensory connection to the dream world (i.e., see, hear, feel etc) You don’t have to have connection with all senses. For example, we had one member of the forum who was def but she was an awesome lucid dreamer. But, maintaining some sort of sensory connection seems to be important in maintaining lucidity. However, there are no absolute rules when it comes to lucid dreaming. The one thing I have learned is that almost anything is possible in the dream world. Your only limited by your imagination. It will be interesting to hear more about your experiences.
As for your other point, rest assured no one here will pre-judge you, especially me.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.
Welcome, person!
I’m just wondering though, why do you put so many "/"s on everything you type?
Welcome Lain

i am not an expert on zen buddhism, am very far from it as a matter of fact, only studying from books (daisetz t. suzuki is the most excellent writer on the subject i have ever read, by the way), but i remember reading something about the mind creating ones concept of the body, over & over again\in other words, there is no actual body had by the individual, just the individuals mental conception of it\so the point (no pun intended) is, that you can travel about in dreams without any body, because all there really ever is is your mind, anyway\then when you want a body, in the dream, your mind creates one - which is much more interesting than just being stuck with the same one all the time, i think\i am really enjoying all of these fascinating questions & comments you are all making, you grasswar, & everybody, & you can all reach me at my email address also, if you want to, at any time

oh, but fiver, what if you are not even a mathematical point???

the person who is deaf, should be able to hear, & do anything else she wants, in her dreams(& who is to say which is the greater reality?)\im not sure what you mean, about my other point, but it is good that i am not being prejudged\thank you so much, for welcoming me to the forum
reply to rodrigo\
i am a nonconformist, rodrigo, quite stunning & unique i am\im sick of capital letters, periods, & anything else that stands in the way of relaxation\thank you very much for noticing
reply to petter\
thank you for your welcome, petter\i like your, doing nothing means a lot to me\thats very zen, i think\
Merged the five posts. Try not to double post like that!
Hi, lain.
You can accomplish just as much by posting only once with your comments instead of using multiple posts to respond to each person. I’m sure your addressees will know who you’re writing to as long as you make it clear.
EDIT: Never mind. It’s been dealt with. Heh.
As for your actual question… you can do and be whatever you want in a dream! You only need to believe it’s possible, and spend a little time practicing. There are many dreams in which I have no body at all, so to me, that doesn’t seem too different from what you’re hoping to achieve. Good luck with your lucid goal, and welcome to the forum.
i prefer to reply to each person individually, its more friendly\i think your, distance has a way of making love understandable, quote is beautiful (quote from what?)\i had a very vivid dream last night, a marshall in the old west (usa), was waiting for some bad man to arrive, & i spotted a small egg like object on the dirt ground, which turned out to be a small clock, very detailed, beautifully made, meant to warn with an alarm at a certain time\i have been experimenting with buddhist meditation techniques, & i might as well mention here, that wall gazing, & observation of breath, have been my two most powerful discovered techniques so far\observation of breath is just to calm down, but wall gazing, or really, gazing at any small object or exact spot on anything, i have found to be extremely powerful, putting one into some sort of autohypnotic state, or something, where time doesnt seem to matter very much, & the mind is turned, or tends to be turned, inward\be careful with this if you try it, i am not an expert, i do it at my own risk, & you would too - if you get any bad effects from it, stop immediately & ask a doctor before continuing\but i havent had any bad effects so far, only good effects\my vivid dream being one of them, i havent had such a vivid dream for a long time\there is a scene in an old, charming movie, with tony curtis & janet leigh, the life story of houdini, that shows the gazing technique\often, movies are full of nonsense, of course, but this technique was, & is, real\houdini (tony curtis) was trying to escape from a straight jacket, he fixed his eyes on a bright, shining, small object, & this helped him to concentrate so deeply, he was able to escape from what most people would find inescapable\isnt it amazing that it actually works - try it!!!\i dont really know what i am doing (who does, actually?), but i have found something\
It’s taken from the song Radio Cure, by Wilco. I changed it just a tiny bit so its meaning was a little more significant to me.
My mind is filled with radio cures
Electronic surgical words…
wilco - is that wilson phillips?, i havent listened to them for a while, im into the spice girls, & swing out sister
Not that I know of. I’m hardly what you’d call a fan, I just like a few songs from their album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Here’s something that tells you who they are.
