I love my music!

moved to lounge … the usual place for music topics. (might want to browse through the lyrics thread or some of the existing music topics)

Hey guys, other than breathing, drinking or eating, one thing that keeps me going is music. I can’t live without it. I constantly have my iPod going at work, at home, in bed (lol) and if it was water proof I’d shower with the little thing.

I’m in need of new tunes you see, fair enough I have bucketloads of songs, but I’m always looking for a good new one, and not new as in age either. I’m 18 and I listen to Johnny Cash sometimes. Anything from Cash’s era forward would be excellent. I need songs that move like “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins or Chris Isaak’s “Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing”, man his vocals kill me everytime.

All suggestions are welcome, even the new songs out, but be in mind, they must have good lyrics and a good beat. Have a good hunt through your playlist. I’ll keep the iPod charged fully for some serious music meditation.

Thanks guys,
Van

I could get you started on Floyd, but that may become an addiction as it did for me. Thats cool you listen to Johnny Cash, he is a great artist. The song he made before he died was really dark. It could have been an alternative rock song. Johnny Cash is one of those artist that are in a catagory by themselves, because you cant really say he is country. I would say he is alternative country.

I won’t get into this cause there’s too much to say. But i’ll send you in the right direction.

One word, “Echoes”.

Prepare for your life to change.

ANYTHING that has not been played on a radio.

EVER.

Yeah, I think that song was “Hurt”, or something like that.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I’ll look into all of this.

“Hurt” was indeed the name of it… and it’s a Nine Inch Nails cover…
Yes, Cash’s last song was a Nails cover… he definitely is in a category by himself

Echoes by Pink Floyd. It’s a 23 minute long psychotrip into the world of Pink Floyd.
Also, Motley Crue is awesome. :content:
