I’ve recently come across this site and it astonished me. I’ve had a LD before. I just have never noticed it. Since this was nearly 3 years ago. Now that I TRY to have a LD it seems harder. Only one night ago, I had such an intense dream, but still haven’t noticed it. I have very real dreams that I can remember, I just can’t seem to notice that I’m in one. I’ve tried the WILD technique. And it seems to be working for the dream quality. But I still can’t seem to notice I AM dreaming. Have any suggestions? I’m open to anything .
If your looking for a way to realize that your in a dream, you might start by looking for a way to realize your NOT dreaming first. You can start with dream signs that you might use throughout the day, ie. a bracelet, or a lightswitch. Then, if your patient and concious enough, in your dream you’ll remember to check on those things and realize the difference between real life and dream life.

The most important technique is patience! Chose a techique like MILD, WILD, perhaps combined with WBTB and try it for at least a month on regular basis before you get frustrated! And even then, just switch to another technique and keep trying. On a sidenote, WILD is a pretty hard technique to start with I think, but if you do like it, at least do it during the night when you wake briefly or combined with WBTB. Good luck with it!
