I Wake Myself Up By Moving in Real Life?

Hello LD4All, this morning I had my first LD. In the dream I don’t remember what had been happening, but I suddenly wondered, “Am I dreaming?” like I’ve been doing in RL. I look around and realize that everything looked weird and… “muggy”. (That’s how I described it in my DJ ). I think, O my gosh, this is a dream!" I push my finger into my hand, and it actually went through! I try to remain calm and begin rubbing my hands together… but when I do, I begin rubbing my hands in RL and wake myself up…

This isn’t the first time this happened. A few weeks ago I had a dream that I was in my bed, and I wanted to cover my ears to block out a sound. My arms were SO heavy and I couldn’t lift them. I struggle really hard, and my physical arms begin moving, and that wakes me up.

I’m still amazed that I was able to become lucid through a DILD. But I’m really sad that I did everything I was supposed to and still woke myself up! I’m worried that I’m going to keep moving my physical body and waking myself up before I can do anything! Does anyone have any tips for me? How do I stop this from happening?

I had that “phase”, I call it a phase because thinking of what you might do is actually becoming true in the dream, so if you think that you will wake up because you might move your body you will wake up.

It lasted for some time and then it stopped. It didn’t happen every time but it was going on for 2 or 3 months occasionally.

I think that you didn’t actually moved your physical hands from the dream and by that wake yourself up, I think you moved your dream hands and by thinking that you might wake yourself up you actually did and then you transfer this action from dream to a waking life and actually moved them because you still had the impression that you are in a dream…
