Hello again. I was wonderin’, see last night I had my first LD, and according to the definitions of levels of lucidity, it was somewhere in between low-level lucidity, and high-level lucidity. See, I was completely aware I was dreaming and that I was lying safely in my bed, with no danger, and I could control the dream…except one thing: It wasn’t as sharp as high-level lucidity. What I mean is, i couldn’t see infinetely far, scents weren’t more strong, touch wasn’t more sensitive or anything…come to think of it, the graphics and feel was just like a normal dream.
Also try to shout “optimize visuals!” and, most importantly, try not just to start running around. Sit down, relax for a while, and try to feel the textures of the ground as well as the colours and brigtness of your surroundings.
Not all my LD-s happen to be more “bright” than ND-s, either. Sometimes when i get lucid nothing changes, while in most times indeed i feel some vibrations and there will be more “pixels” in my dream.
While you were fully lucid and aware of dream, i still think that you had relatively high LD. AFAIK high and low levels of LD are indicated mostly by how much do you percieve that this is a dream: fully aware - high LD; somehow aware - low LD. Although if i have very bad visuals in LD, i also usually count it as low level LD.
Lucidity, vividness (and control) are three parameters which are not related. You can be high lucid in a very poor realistic dream.
Some people use to shout “Increase clarity!” in order to increase the vividness and realism of their dreams.
Thank you all SOOO,SOO much. I muchly appreciate it. Yeah, I did shout “Lucidity X1000!!”, in my dream, but it didn’t seem to really do mcuh. But what I think I’m gonna do, like Alex C said, is before I start flyin’ and shit, take a minute to look and feel around, think about the fact I’m dreaming, until I’m ‘stuck’(i guess you could say), in lucidity.
