So myself, like a bunch of people, text messages every day, SEVERAL times a day. I always have my text ringer on so I hear it constantly all day. It’s the same routine, hear the “ding” sound, pull phone out of pocket and read the screen. Now I’m thinking…
1.)Doing a RC every time I hear the sound in WL
2.) taking this sound, looping it on a CD, and putting it into my CD alarm clock. I’ll set my alarm to go off as I’m sleeping and maybe the sound will enter my dreams causing me to do a RC in my dreams.
Just an idea, anyone ever try this? I have a feeling I’m not the first person to think of this lol sounds way too easy to be an original idea
p.s. I’m guessing looking at the screen every time I pull my phone out of my pocket could count as an RC considering numbers/text appear strange in dreams
Well it’s certainly worth a try . The biggest problem I see is that the sound might wake you up. I know I always wake up when I hear my phone to check the message or take the call.
It does seem like a genuinely good idea, IF you’re the right kind of person. For me this would absolutely not work at all. I receive, on average, one or two text messages a day and when I do I’m usually in no hurry to check who it’s from. On average I send less than one message a day, so that won’t work either lol.
I don’t really have any actions that I perform routinely. Of course, for most youngsters these days this would work like a charm, provided you can keep yourself from waking up during the night. I wish you good luck with it in any case!
Ha! I tried almost exactly the same last night. I did a quick calculation before going to bed and set my cellphone to go off at 4.15 with one of the ringtones. The problem was that it woke me up instantly since I recognized that it was my cellphone in WL going off.
Give it a try, though! Your idea sounds very cool.
My results yielded a fail but only because I didn’t hear it. I guess the ringer is just so monotone and plain that my mind doesn’t really pick it up as I’m sleeping. It was a good attempt, I need just need to find the right tone.
