EVER WISHED THAT YOU COULD SLOW DOWN TIME AND SPOT DETAILS BETTER?
Well now you can, because with DreamSpellTM 30-day action plan you can SLOW DOWN TIME!
-perform better at sport!
-gain better reflexes!
-make these wonderful days last longer!

OK. Heres what i thought:
Dreamtime is meant to take place in only a third of the equivalent realtime.
That means that the mind is then working three times faster, noticing 3 times more details than in real life.
This COULD be due to the fact that the mind is not distracted, or that it is not processing such great amounts of visual and auditory information etc etc etc, but then could you make your mind do the same thing in real life???
Seriously, is there a way, whether or not it is linked to dreams at all? Because there would be so many advantages to that!
I listened to a “tape” of a lecture perhaps by Deepak Chopra and he was talking about time i think. And that you can get into a state of mind in meditation where you can experience slower time or even stopped time. I don’t quite remember because I have listened to a bunch of what he has to say. So according to him at least it is possible but then according to him anything is possible.
Also on another tape his friend was talking first and told a story about playing tennis and meditating at the same time. His opponent hits a ball that would be impossible to counter. It was so obviously impossible that the opponent assumed victory and stopped paying attention. But what the guy reported after managing to hit the ball to everyones surprise was that it waited for him. Because he was so singlemindedly determined to get it. something like that. nice story. not scientific though.
I had a experience with mushroom … I did then and because I was feeling ill and sick (not because of the mushroom , that day I was already ill) I went to sleep.
I swear like one hour of sleeping was like a complete night of sleeping. That night feeled so long … like a days…
laberge mentions that if you dream of doing a sport it will improve your ability to do that sport, because it sends signals to the paralyzed muscles in that part of the body.
now interesting then that we really are training our bodies to fly, but… they can’t, can they?
you just fly by your imagination of a different physics.
example: If you do swimming motions to fly, you practice swimming but if you try this IRL, the physics won’t make you fly, though you get better and better at the swimming in the air
Wow something like that happens to me around once every 2 months. I wake up from a nap and a nap only and i think like 3 times faster. Kind of scarie i think i am going crazy when I do cause i think like 10 thoughts a second weird.
It’s just mind training, training your mind to avoid it becoming lazy, forgetful and sleepy.
Our minds are divided in conciousness layers, you just need to train the other layers to wake each other.
Like KingOmar said, when you wake up fast, more than one layer can be active, which seems you are thinking faster.
For instance you can get written at your front something like “Stop being distracted”,“What were you thinking?” and you will lose much less time, and getting used to use your brain with more effectiveness.
After I’ve tryied this technique I started after begin told I might had some kind of attention disorder, I’ve got much longer days, better dream recall and being less distracted, without getting tired.
(I’ve always had good reflexes, but I was getting distracted too often to use them, but now they’re much better!)
Do you have any links or articles or anything on techniques (even, or especially, not related to dreaming)? except for just keeping your mind very active.
After i first started this thread, i started tabbing out a dragonforce solo (dragonforce are an amazing power metal band) and i find that now my mind thinks faster, through having to listen to many notes in a short space of time!
(for the uninitiated, “tabbing” music means listening to it and working out how it was played. “tab” is a special notation for stringed instruments, almost exclusively for guitar and bass)
Well, there is lots of of things that causes mind to act more active, like coffeine etc.
Tabbing thing: well, mind just is more exploated, than while doing nothing. I dont think it have connection with slowing down time. Altrough tabbing dragonforce must be really hard, BTW.
Maybe it have something with brainwaves. That seems logical for me, but sometimes logic fails. (a.k.a. Massive LD Experiment )
It was Dawn Over A New World i started with, so the slowest. Im starting Evening Star and hope to be doing Fury of the Storm by this time next year!
What would be very interesting is if someone could devise an experiment to work out how slow differnt people perceive time. i would be very interested in carrying out or whatever with any experiment that would test this.
Of course the next step after that would be to test different methods of time slowing to see which are most effective.
In my most recent LD I was standing on my front porch looking in front of me and I saw (what i thought) time passing. Everything was moving very very very fast…cars/people/clouds/light and even trees
i had something wierd happen to me and every time i look at my watch it takes like 2 extra seconds for it to tick it happens every time i want to look at the time. also i read this thing that says to slow down time just take a clock that ticks and put energy into the spaces into the ticks to slow time down. i used to do this at night without realizing it
That is quite a piece to think about.
I think I believe it, but I wonder if it is able to be proven.
Looks like lucid dreamers can get a leg up on the competition.
I don’t believe time goes faster in a (lucid) dream. It’s more like in a movie, where they cut the boring bits out. Like when you see someone step into bed when it’s dark and then out of bed when it’s light. Your mind fills in the gap: this guy went to sleep for a whole night. Yet the whole scene took only, lets say 10 seconds.
When you remember a dream it may be that you recall being chased through a desert, over the mountains into a city. This recalled dream seems to have lasted very long. While the actual dream at the time when you were dreaming might simply have been an image of you running in a desert, followed by an image of running over the mountains and an image of running into a city. Might have lasted for 10 seconds real time… It’s in the remembring that the mind fills in the gaps which make it seem to have lasted for a long time.
