I'm a beginner and need some guidance.

I heard of LD’s last night, so when I went to bed I fell asleep thinking of what I want to do while dreaming. That night I had three dreams and two quick ones. The first one was I was in a hotel that doubled as a skate park, the entire dream I was walking around ebing laughed at by people skating. The second dream was I was in someone’s house on a computer, and my little brother and his friend were trying to catch me doing anything bad, but I didn’t do anything bad. The third dream is very weird. I was 50 Cent, I was trying to teach people to play the instrumentals to In Da Club. For some reason my girlfriend showed up, and we were instantly teleported to a cliff with two of her friends. For some reason I tried to jump off and commit suicide. But when I landed I landed right next to her and she was singing me lullabies. The first quick dream was I was listening to the radio and the announcer said NASA was sending 8 kids and 26 adults into space. I woke up and it was 8:26 a.mn. in real life! I went back to sleep and I has a second quick dream. The second quick dream was I was again listening to the radio and the announcer said NASA was planning to send 12 Kids and 14 adults into space. I woke up and it was 12:14 in the afternoon. I decided to stay awake then. My problem is this: I often times don’t remember my dreams. And last night I couldn’t even realize I was dreaming at all! I need help, if you could help me, please do so. :help:

Don’t worry - your not the only one with these problems, by any means.

The first step to remembering more of the dreams you have is starting a dream journal. When you wake up after a dream, immediately write it down. Doing this will cause you to remember dreams much more often.

The way that I help myself recognize that it’s a dream is doing reality checks during the day. Do something like, count the number of fingers on your hand, and see if there are an unusual amount. And - the most important part - really question if you are awake or not. Doing reality checks during the day will make it more likely that you will do them during a dream, and realize that you are dreaming.

Yeah, for me it took 3 months before I had my first lucid dream. Instead of waking up feeling mad because you didn’t get lucid, try to think about how interesting this ND has been.
Before you can have lucid dreams you need to start appreciating your normal ones

that’s a good piece of advice MovieMe!

I do a reality check where I ask myself how I got here (where I am now). If you can’t remember, you’re dreaming!! It’s good, because it’s extremely discreet.

I that a reality check??? I dunno… well it’s in the ld4all guide so it must be!!
