I'm just ALMOST Lucid. Been trying subconsciously for years

Ever since I was about five, I’ve been conscious in my dreams every now and then. Though I never knew it. Nightmares especially would stay in my memory, so now it’s already almost been a decade since the first dream I remember. However, I’m only fully aware that I’m conscious of my dream until the last minute or so…when I’m about to awake. Still, recently in the past year, I’ve been fully conscious in a dream that has many things to yet decipher. It contained my psychologist, my crush, a room in my school that I have homeroom in, and a few other things. I learned about lucid dreams just last night and so I tried to do it…I failed. I can’t really be able to think “I’m dreaming” when I am…but I can rather still be in my dream and go along with everything. Sometimes my dreams foretell the future, and they usually come true. Unless it’s a dream with obscene things happening. I remember my first fortune-telling dream from third grade, it came true just this past year. Can someone please explain to me how this happened? And why? Or even some feedback?

Addition: I’ve had a dream before, I can’t really remember what exactly, but I woke up from it and it was a weekend. I decided I liked that dream and fell back asleep…and I was back in that environment, continuing where I left off… It’s like I’m still dreaming when I’m on the verge of being awake…then I open my eyes and it’s gone. I close them…go unconscious (easily sometimes) and have the dream again. It’s odd.

Hey silver.blood, welcome to the forum.

There’s a lot of ways to look at precognitive dreams. Some say we just dream so much that some of the dreams just have to become reality, so that it’s all coincidence. Others say that our subconscious “knows” a lot more then what we are aware of and can at times predict what will happen. Again others swear that there is some kind of mystical explanation to it. Personally, I think there is some truth in all of these ideas, especially the first two. Good luck with becomming lucid!

Thanks for telling me. I thought I may have been just some “mystic” or one of those “special people”…

Though I highly doubt that I’m psychic. Who knows? Maybe.

I think I’ll try some of the tips given out on the forums…
Thanks for the feedback though.

I’ve had precog dreams that cannot be explained by sub-c theories. And I was mod on a parapsychology forum : yet there is no scientific explanation for this phenomenon.

If you want to test your psi abilities, you can visit this link :
https://www.gotpsi.org/bi/gotpsi.htm
It’s the site of one of the most famous contemporary parapsychologists, Dean Radin.

You can do that test but imo it doesn’t say a lot about your ability to really have a precog dream, or if you have any “psi” abilities at all. From my experience there’s much more to it then doing some test to “guess/know” what’s what.

I took the card test and I guess you could say I got a few correct. I acted like a psychic…took my first instincts to click on what cards, and even used a technique where I closed my eyes and rapidly moved my hand back and forth across the screen and randomly stop. That worked the first time for a while.

And I’ve been thinking…is it possible that if you have precog dreams, you can also have things in RL happen at the same time as a “coincidence”? I mean…during school, there’s a lot of times where the bell rings exactly when I go through the doorframe to my next class. And just now, I set my heater to start every so minutes, and I was playing a song. Exactly when the song ended…my heater turned on. I’ve had other experiences too…
