Incomplete WILD

So i’ve tried WILD many times without any success (I think I was doing it right, but this was doing it at bedtime not WBTB). However, just a moment ago, I did WILD… sort of.

I was lying still in a comfortable position and was definitely observing HI and some auditory stuff, then short dream sequences, then felt my body shaking violently in my limbs and gradually moving to my head, and I could then see my room, but it was shaky. I felt like I knew my eyes were actually closed and I was lying down, and couldn’t really move my body. I couldn’t focus, and wanted to do hand rubbing to try and stabilize it, but the instant I tried I just moved my real hand and woke up.

So, did I go in too early? Should I have waited to see if things would calm down a bit? How do I do that final “stepping in” to the dream?

If you can feel your body, it’s too early. The dream transition will come naturaly; don’t force it.

Wow, sounds freaky man, I’m just about to try WILD going to sleep, i’m also curious as to “How do I do that final “stepping in” to the dream?”

From what I read, I’ve found that the “stepping in” occurs mostly naturally. If you get to a point where the dream is in front of you, just be a bit more patient and stay focused and eventually the dream will fold around you and become 3D and you’ll naturally step into it.

Yea, you were definetly really close. As previously mentioned, you just need to rest and not move a little bit longer until it comes naturally to you. Keep up the good work!

I guess I just jumped to the assumption that anything that occurred after the shaking had to be a true LD. Because it sounded a lot what people describe WILD working like.

way to go! Wait a little longer and just watch, even if it’s shaky. WHen you feel more THERE, slowly and gently see if you can move your dream hands. then slowly rub them. that’s what I do.

Thanks a lot. I will try again soon.

You are very close. I hope I will be able to reach your level

Just keep going, I’d say. If you can repeat that state, try and do it every night and maybe you can expect some progress.

My WILD experience is a bit different, but I feel that I got stuck approximately at the same place along the way.

I remained conscious while HI begun, and at some moment I was just able to “switch” to a new state of consciousness, when this happened, I started feeling like my body is drifting in one direction, but I got a little excited, my heart started beating like mad and it went away.
Nowadays when I try that, I just can’t hit that border between being sleepy and conscious. I’m either so sleepy that I fall asleep fast, or the relaxation excercises totally awaken me and I can’t sleep for a few hours after that.

Instead of my eyes feeling like sealed, like other members like to say, I just can’t keep mine closed when I reach that relaxed state anymore. I also have to swallow soliva often, and obviously that wakes me up completely every time.
