I probably should have posted this the other day, when I actually had the dreams (normal dreams), but these sort of “aware” dreams have been happening for a few days now.
The dream i’m remembering just now was one where i’m trying to train myself to see objects in 3d in my dreams, almost as if it was training for Lucid Dreaming… I was focusing on an image of a girl. She was blue and was in “wireframe”. The first time she appeared I was telling myself in a tutorial fashion that this is how you get them to look realistic in a dream. At first, she was just a blue set of lines, and then they expanded into a wireframe head of the girl. The pupels of the eyes got unrealistically large soon after. This actaully happened twice, the first time it was unsuccessful and the dimensions and lines were all out of place, but the second time it actually looked like the head of a girl, and pretty clearly too.
I’ve also had an experience with trying to meld a face from nothing into someone, anyone that I know, or don’t. Even though the face was clear, there was no eyes mouth or nose or general facial structure, just a circular appearance of a head with no actual “face”. It looked very clear to me, and even though it was a ND just like with my other dreams I try to make objects appear and control them.
I also had a dream where in it I was dreaming that I was realising I was sleeping. There was a lack of actual dream content, but the feeling was there that I was LD’ing, including the sensation of being pulled out of the dream, which didn’t actually wake me up but rather melted back into the dreamworld where I was dreaming again, but I don’t remember anything after that when I woke up, generally speaking.
I’m not exactly trying so much anymore to have LD’s, but I am doing an occasional RC (like once a day if i’m lucky to remember)… I haven’t recorded any dreams for heaps long either but I do think about my dreams as I wake up… mainly because of how they are seemingly getting more clear and more exciting to think about!
OOOPS! There is one thing I forgot to mention and this is somewhat of a question, i’ll just post that here now then hehe…
Ok, it seems to me as if I wake up each time i’ve finished with a dream! I don’t check the time when I wake up so I couldn’t really say if its a periodic thing, or if i’m just imagining the whole ordeal but what I do notice is that when I wake up it’s as if i’m near the end of a dream, or at the end of a dream.
After I wake up I just go back to sleep because i’m still tired, and then I wake up later only to find I have had another dream! … it’s kind of frustrating, but it does help me focus (unintentionally) on each individual dream.
I have to look into this more and see if it keeps happening… it’s happened last night and the night before, so if it keeps happening i’m going to have to start performing WBTB multiple times each night! LOL… wow talk about convenience.
Oh well… maybe my body clock is all screwy but I know I ain’t waking up intentionally, or willing myself to at any time.
You might have stopped trying consciously to have LD, but apparently your SC hasn’t - that’s what implies from the content of your normal dreams. This is, however, totally amazing: you are dreaming about how to control your dreams and you see effect of your efforts - yet you still don’t realize, that you are actually dreaming. It’s like walking between tightly growing trees and failing to notice, that you are in a forest
But even if its so unusual, I guess such thing may be used as dream sign. Make thinking about controlling dreams a good reason to do RC and it should eventually fail.
Well it was very interesting to see in a dream and it was a fun experience while it lasted. I guess the subconcious likes to follow on without me, lol… i’m glad it’s picking up where I lack the effort.
Still, I can’t wait to be able to have a full 5minute+ dream with Life-Like surroundings and great control over the dreamscape! Once I achieve that I doubt i’d be so lazy anymore…
Really!!! You mean not being able to get an entire night of sleep without waking up constantly at the end of a dream is normal? hehe… maybe for you Stormthunder but this isn’t the normal case for me.
Well, anyway I DID get through an entire night without waking up, last night… so I guess it was just a rare thing.
I was mainly interested in waking up at the end of the dream… yea I mean, in the dream the story which was being followed was coming to an end! Everytime!
afaik people wake up quite often every night, but usually you dont remember it the next morning. when i fall asleep with the intention to wake up after every dream i have the same experience you had.
and yes, you can use it for wbtb quite well, and you dont even need an alarm clock .
Ah, okay, now I understand. I get a full night’s sleep because I only have one dream per sleep. I thought you were talking about something slightly different.
orgy(??? lol at ur name), not only did I remember it the next day I was awake enough to realise each time, as well as noticing I had just come to the end of the dream each time…
well, over the last two nights I haven’t been waking up like this so I won’t think much more of it, unless it starts happening again
