Increasing number of "missed reality tests".

Well, basically, when, on rare occasion, I notice I might be dreaming (most resently, on a bus that was traveling in circles), I do a reality check that turns up FALSE.

That’s right.

My mind seems to mold it so predicably that I see the same time on the clock each time. Of course, said clock had 4 digets, and read out 7:050, and :dingding: and all that, but the notion that reality tests show up false in me is odd. I will note this isn’t just one time. This is the 2nd or 3rd. I have not done a working test since the first one.

Reality tests failing, while not exactly common, aren’t all that unheard of. I suppose the biggest oddity here is that you’re reality check is a text based one and those tend to be among the more reliable.

My recommendation would be to work another reality check or two into your standard routine as a “failsafe”. In other words, you might do the text test and then plug your nose and see if you can breathe through it and then maybe another. That way if the text test fails you have another check that will hopefully catch the slip-up.

Yes, I’ll have to change up the routine a wee bit… hopefully that works.

Something I noticed is that my mind seems to hate LDing. Everything I notice, is changed. Here’s a better worded way of saying it:

Some people notice their dreams might have lots of… lets just say forests. So I notice that I usually have sprawling landscapes like a video game. Namely, large mythic cities. I notice, and say that next time I see a large city, I’ll figure it out.

I haven’t had one of those dreams since.

Yeah, the Nose-plug RC works every time.
another good one is pinching yourself, but I mostly do Nose RC.
