hey, my music teacher once told me he read or heard about some people being “crystal childeren” which had to help people evolve into another level of conciousness, please tell me what you think about this
You mean indigo kids? It’s hard to discern wisdom from bull. The official theory is that they have mental problems. I’d like to know more too.
oh right sorry, i get confused with names lol i’ll see if i can find something, i’ll post tomorrow at school
EDIT: here’s a site: greatdreams.com/indigo.htm
edit 2: what’s ESP?
I thought there is a difference between crystal and indigo.
also called ‘children of the new time’ etc
I don’t think they where the same.
sirius, i have a dutch link: nieuwetijdskinderen.nl
ah cool , right, i allready editted crystal to indigo, and i remember pieter(my music teacher) said that too
i’ll do more research and i’ll be back with more info
ESP is extra-sensory perception…unless you are speaking of something else.
wow, how does that work? seems cool, it said on my site that indigo children seem to have more ESP, NDE’s and OBE’s, so i think that’s right, would be cool tho
I swear I read (some of) the articles but—I don’t get it!
What’s that indigo/crystal theory all about? Children (and, later, adults) with higher awareness? Lucid? What about that ‘powerfull’ stuff? What powers?
How come I never heard of them?
I’ve heard of the term “indigo” children before - it seemed to refer to children who are noticable ahead of average children and grown-ups in terms of wisdom, perception, what-ever.
The idea of a child being born in a “perfect” state, or at least a lot closer to it than normal, isn’t a new one; it actually turns up in old Buddhistic tales.
Sadly, the article I read was terribly fluffy: it basically went on the lines that humanity has now reached a point when all children born are indigo children, and therefor so far in their development that there’s nothing that their parents can teach them: wise parents had better not try teaching their children and instead try to learn from them. Sounded badly like anti-authoritarian pedagogy meeting esoterism at it’s worst and having an orgy. IMHO, that is.
I have to admit that I only scanned over the first article (greatdreams.com/indigo.htm), but as far as I can see, it goes into great detail with the theorie but doesn’t give any substantiation. And hearing those would really be interesting for me.
(To avoid misunderstandings: I think that there are a lot of things which go above and beyond the mainstream science we meet in school and at college. But I’m highly suspicious of beautiful theories being equated with facts - that’s the quickest way to kill of any chance of credibility for alternative views)
