Intention Setting to Wakeup

Hi all,
There is something I practice every night that I rarely read about, and am curious if fellow dreamers utilise the same technique. I’m certain that I read somewhere in ETWOLD about setting the intention to wake up after your dreams, this being said I usually set my intention to wake up after every dream - with a high degree of success. If I firmly set my intention before bed, I can easily wake up 4 to 5 times a night, and each time it’s directly after a REM period. You may also be interested to find that these waking periods (always after 2:00am and no earlier) are often spaced at exactly 1 1/2 hour intervals in the early morning, with the intervals increasing to approximately 2 hours towards late morning.
I have found this to be incredibly useful to increase dream recall, as I usually hobble into my study (several times) at these early morning hours and tap away on my laptop the details of my freshly remembered dreams.
Is anyone else able to set their intention so firmly, with such a high degree of success? It would be wonderful if this success lead to a high degree of LD’s but there doesn’t seem to be a direct correlation.

Don’t get lost in the WILDS’!

Yeah I often suggest myself the time I want to wake up. It works pretty well (I find these things very easy to suggest ), I never tried suggesting to wake up after each dream I have though … hmmm but that sounds very interesting too. This way you could really remember ALL the dreams you have in the nights.

About the sleeping cycles: I use that too. It is no wonder that sometimes I sleep 10 hours and wake up completely dead, and other day I sleep 4.5 hours and am so fresh and full of energy. I use that cycles when I am going to study in the nights or wake up early, but dont have enough time to sleep properly :eh:

Also suggesting myself what I want to dream my ND of works too.

Hmmm … would write much more about this, but I have a nasty flu and fever, and cant remember any more English words at this stage hehe… so maybe next time

Thanks for your reply Hradska, I was beginning to think nobody would respond with their experience with intention setting! You can truly incubate you dream setting? I have had no success with that so far, though admittedly I have been trying to incubate an……DC rather than a specific location.
Oh, I also discovered lately that my intention setting doesn’t seem to work and dream recall becomes patchy after attempting WILD, though I guess I’ll need to observe these correlations further before I’m certain what is causing this.
