Introducing SCLD, Experiment! I repeat, Experiment!

Hello, all! After my brother explained in full detail on his own LD experience, it inspired me to create a method out of it. So far I have heard none of this method, but I need you guys to test this method out for me.

SCLD: Self Created Lucid Dream. The idea is to slip into the “dream state”, right before you fall asleep. RIGHT as you enter it you should have the intent of creating a dream, and having yourself go into it.

Pro’s:

 • Very easy for people who have little sleep, have long jobs, etc, as it requires little strength in the first place.
 • Fairly fast if Prep is done correctly.
 • Instantly Lucid when the dream begins.

Con’s:

 • MUST have decent visualization skills.

Preparation

Preparing is fairly easy. To have this method work, you NEED to have, and I mean you NEED to have a tired body. Whether it’s doing gymnastics, running hardcore on the football team, anything. Also, getting some sleep deprivation is also handy. You MUST have your mind and your body begging on their knee’s for sleep. You must be exhausted.

Now, for bed. This WON’T WORK when you first go to sleep, so don’t bother trying it! Either use the afternoon naps or incorporate the WBTB method. As I said, get comfortable. Now drift away. Just have the intent of going to sleep, however, you want to be “awake” in the mind enough. Drift off, but observe what goes on in your head.

Creating the Dream

Yes, the most important phase. When relaxing and drifting to sleep, you want to watch out for a “point”. When you feel you have accessed the deep sleep phase, before falling asleep, make sure you don’t. Now visualize. Start thinking about a world of your own, a world that is yours. This can also be used to create Pre-Generated worlds BEFORE you sleep! Start visualizing, focusing on making your world. When you feel you are done, start applying it. This will require WILLPOWER. Focus your intent on making the dream appear. Have this dream, and make your mind grab it. Create your own dream. Start visualizing it in your eyes, make it happen.

If done right, your eyelids will darken, the darkness will increase, and then it will get lighter, and lighter, and lighter. You will awaken into your new dream body! Congratulations!

The Dream

Do whatever you want. When you enter the dream you should be 100% Lucid. My brother’s Lucid Dream actually lasted 3 hours long, and you can do dream commands to probably increase that. So goodluck!

Experimentation

I don’t want to name this a method off of a whim. I’m asking you guys to try this new method out and see how it works for you! I’m curious.

Interesting. I won’t be able to try it out fully tired, though. I’m getting regular sleep.

This sounds like a variation of VILD. I may have done this on accident once during my only ever VILD. I was visualizing a cutscene for a game I wanted to make over and over in my head, and I accidentally drifted off into sleep in which the dream consisted of solely that cutscene on loop.

Different, but still kinda similar.

This method has some sort of a WILD entrance, but it’s completely natural. Instead of drifting to sleep and having a dream on which you imagine, you get sucked into the dream automatically.

Sounds very good but you have one thing that you didn’t take in mind. If you do try this at bed time without WBTB then you need to wait around 90 - 120 minutes to enter first REM cycle which is very short. And if you are tired as you suggested I don’t think you will be able to keep your mind awake for that time. And even if you do dreams in first REM cycle aren’t so good as in later cycles but I guess if you do become lucid from start then you would remember it but everything is a gamble here.

Technically this can’t be true because sleep cycle lasts 90 - 120 minutes so either he has false memory(dream that lasts 3 hours) or he chained dreams from 2 REM cycles and he has an impression that this was all one dream.

I can try this but like I said there is no much use of trying it at bed time…

Oh meh gud… I am so sorry. I completely forgot about the REM cycles and got sidetracked. I’m at school but I will edit the post after school. But yes, do try it with WBTB. The idea is to make yourself as exhausted as posible for lightning fast dream creation.

I’m sick and very tired at the moment, so yes, this will be good with WBTB  I’ll give it a try. But sleep deprivation isn’t healthy for many reasons, so I’d suggest for people to get tired by healthy physical excercise instead of not sleeping.

Agree! (about sleep deprivation)

Any results?

Well I don’t expect results so quick. I’m starting to test this tomorrow night and I’ll give it at least until next Sunday… I can post daily results…

how this can work when you are not in REM at the beggining of night?
