I don’t really know how to expain this, but I recently started having lucid dreams and I actually feel a little scared of them; I’m certainly thrilled and excited to get them again, but this whole experience is still pretty new to me, and it feels kind of… spooky, in a way.
I once told a boyfriend of mine a trick to stay in your dream if you don’t want to wake up, which involved looking at your hand and bringing into focus. He tried it succesfully and called me up yelling “You’re a witch! What is this sorcery!” I certainly freaked him out, lol.
It is kind of freaky and different, but try to stay calm. It will be less shocking with time.
It can be a little scary to jump through a window on the 3rd floor for the first time. Other than that I never found it scary at all.
I suppose I guess it depends on what is happening in your dream.
That’s whats been keeping me from trying WILD, im afraid that if i enter sleep paralisis, i’ll be vunerable to whatever happens to me when im paralized, like if the house goes on fire or something. lol, i know it sounds silly, but thats why im doing MILD instead of WILD.
There’s no need to worry about those kinds of things in SP. Your body is programmed to survive and will break out of SP if it is in immediate danger. That’s why occasionally when you have a falling dream you jerk awake. Your body thinks it is actually about to hit something and jerks itself out of SP to protect itself.
