Is it possible to see the future in dreams?

What makes you so sure you can’t?

Because there is no evidence for the belief that the mind can comprehend time before experiencing it with the senses. When you reason it out you see that it doesn’t make any sense to assume so.

try and get your head around this

If a person/super computer knew the exact positions and velocities of every particle in the universe, and the absolutely correct equations governing the them, then theoretically one could predict the exact condition of the universe at any future point in time. There are problems with this,

The first problem you encounter is the heisenberg uncertainty principle, this means the more accurate you are at knowing the position of a partical the more unaccurate your measurement of the volicity of the partical and vice versa

The second problem is that storing this data of the universe to perform the calculations on you would need a computer of equal size of the universe to store the information on

another problem is that if you had all the information needed you would have to do a calculation on the calculation (the giant super computer) i still dont understand this bit

also another problem (one that i thought myself ) is that to make your information and predicting the future 100% accurate you would need to know all the information at the exact same time so you would need something that can record ALL the information in the universe at the EXACT same time nothing that we know of can do this quite simply we would need something that dosnt have a speed it simply needs to be there without takening anytime getting there

anyway now u know all of that i believe that it is possible for the human mind to see proberbal outcomes but not 100% accurate :content:

When I reason it out…
it doesnt make any sense not to assume its possible!
:alien:
If you can see past the illusion of time and its seemingly linear properties…
and realize that all time, space, matter, energy is all held in one infinite moment of existence… infinite knowledge is available to us.
What creates our reality is our collective consciousness… we are all co-creators, co-creating each moment. If you are perceiving then you are creating…
Since each individual is a part of this, whether they know it or not, every one person has the ability to access this infinite Source of all things, all moments, all times, experiences, events, everything that is, has been or will be, and most importantly; all Love and all Knowledge and Truth.
You are everything.
This is why those who truly Know Thyself, Know Everything.
Why are our dreams so magical and mysterious to us? because in our dreams we are tasting more of this Source than we do in our ‘real life’… and thats why LDing is even more magical and mysterious… because we are Consciously tasting it, becoming aware of the limitless infinite possibilities.
If you start Consciously and actively creating your reality, then your ‘real life’ will become super magical and mysterious and whatever you want it to be…

:yinyang:

And what makes you think that??? :wallhit: I can, and thats enough for me to believe, however I cant control when
Its easy to question this and Im getting angry when people say something they cant prove

You can’t prove a negative, which means the burden of proof is on people who believe we CAN predict the future. Like you, Ghostie. If you could reliably predict the future and present evidence, that would be believable. In fact, it would redefine how we view the universe. Scientific theories would crumble under the weight that the evidence held. There would be big changes.

But this won’t happen, because the idea that one can predict the future, reliably i.e. more accurately than one would do so from educated guessing, has never been proven.

James Randi, a well known skeptic and founder of the JREF institute, has offered a prize of one million US dollars to any person who can prove that they have ANY paranormal powers, and clarivoyance would definitely fall under that category. I invite you to apply for the money, if you think you are able to do so.

If the ability to predict the future is possible, then why has nobody collected the money yet?

The only way to prove FD’s is with advanced devices and it MUST be true at that day. I believe and its good enough, I cant prove for other that I have FD’s :puh:

You could prove it to the JREF institute. You could make an arrangement wherein you tell them any predictions you have, and they would note whether they come true or not.

I think $1,000,000 is enough incentive to try, isn’t it?

I have a feeling that the question of whether or not the future is predictable will not be answered so easily.

For example: One day someone predicted that there would be a huge war in the future. Then 10 years later there was a huge war.
One could argue “See?! He predicted a huge war! It doesn’t matter how far away he predicted it if he got it right!” the other could easily argue “Given infinite time anyone could predict a war and it will happen, but it could happen in 1 year or 1,000.”

It can really be argued either way. You would need to predict an event down to the very last second to be able to prove anything. It also can’t be an event that can be controlled. Like predicting it will rain on November 4, 2065 at 5:53:23 PM at Paris, France. Even then, what are the chances the person didn’t guess?

Well, the huge war thing, yeah, wars happen all the time, and it’s difficult to define ‘huge’, and ‘the future’ means any time, etc. There are too many variables.

And the rain thing is a bad example because whether or not it will rain is not a greatly difficult thing to predict; at any given time, there’s a relatively high percentage that it will be raining.

But there do exist good examples. If somebody, for example, predicted that on November 4, 2065 at 5:53:23 PM in Paris, France, there would be a meteorite strike, and it happened, then that would be a very compelling piece of evidence.

It’s not impossible to make a scientifically valid prediction, with little chance of guessing.

Its too difficult to prove FD’s for nonbelievers  but if anyone succeeds I really want to know

I’ve seen the future, time and time again. Better even, I wrote a prophecy, in a dream, and when I woke up , I could remember every single detail. It didn’t make sense back then (a thing like, “then she will betray him…and then they’ll have a kid…” well I’m a teenager, and I didn’t even knew who “she” was) But in this past few months, everything is coming to place. Besides that, I’ve had many other dreams, which predicted small events…

But if others don’t believe, see that. We have a brain. Everything we build, is not as powerful as our brain. Imagine our brain, subconsciously, picks everything that has happened, and reorganizes it, logically so we can see the future. It would process every detail…and then induce it to the dream. Believe it now?

I like the way you set that up.

Yes, with our subconscious available to use we would be better in every way, or at least far more capable. That’s what hypnotism is, but even that only scratches the surface.

exactly what I mean. Imagine using that while conscious! It would be the top of the human intelligence! So it’s totally possible for us to see the future, i guess…

Always had  and Ive dreamed a lot about the future, many small things that already come true  but Ive also seen nuke wars and that its gonna strike hard. Dont lnow when, but soon…

I was trying to convince the non-believers. How about this. Whoever gives the most plausible explanation gets a cookie!

Are you saying that there will be a nuclear war soon?! That’s interesting, why do you think that it’s really going to happen?
And can you describe it in more detail, like between which countries it will or will it be the third World War.

If it happens, we better start running…last time it happened my country got magically safe. But a nuclear war?! no one is safe!

But give some more detail. That way we could do some kind of conference, to find out more…

WW3  Im afraid. I cant really say from where the nukes come…

I just know that most cities are gonna be destroyed, it was a long time ago and I still have the feeling its gonna happen :scared: but I dont know when…

but can we stop it?
I think that wouldn’t be pleasant for anyone. Imagine having a world, all blown up! :help: It would be worse than that meteor, that supposedly was going to crash to Earth
But could you give more details about what you saw?
