I was wondering if in a Lucid dream, you could go somewhere to see the future.
That would be so cool!
Probably what your mind predicts as the future, or the future itself. I’m not sure. Never tried it.
I think so, and I have mild reason to believe so, as well as what I’ve heard from others. Asking this is like asking which religion is better or if you believe in SDing though, it could get messy.
no.
to tell you straight.
well, say you could, how would you go about doing that?
Because somebody could test it and see if their vision comes true.
Well, I had a dream once that I looked out my window and saw 2 of my friends walking to my old school. And one of my friends was bouncing a multi-coloured ball. The next day I was hanging with the friend in her back yard, and I noticed her new ball. Her new multi coloured ball. I was surprised, and I told her my dream. She said that she went to the school yesterday with our other friend.
Not exactly the future, but I know I for sure dreamed it because soon after I walked out of my house and went around flying or my grand-parents or something like that. I can’t really remember the rest of the dream. Quite a while ago.
I can see the future, and many of the visions have come true. But there are some remaining and thats it
The future is not certain, almost anything is possible. That is why it is not easy to predict the future… that’s what I have heard anyway .
But if you see something in advance and change it, is it still the future you saw or was it just a dream??
Well, I believe that it is possible to tell the future using dreams. However, it is more likely to be an educated guess than prophetic. Seeing as how the brain is, in basics, an ultra-advanced computer that is at all times, scanning the surroundings for useful information It is possible that the brain could detect complex patterns in people. This could lead it to determine the next day fairly accurately.
When determining something happening years ahead it becomes more difficult and strays from the known facts. It is possible if we accept one thing. That all our minds are subconsciously linked and that all the data of all the brains of the world and, possibly, beyond is available to a Lucid Dreamer then it is quite possible for that Lucid Dreamer’s brain to calculate what could happen next year, or a hundred years later.
Miracles are the impossible coming true
and everything is possible…
I actually hear of a lot, if not a majority of people dreaming of something that later happened at least once. However, trying to predict the future through a LD would neither be reliable nor would it work at all, I’d guess. You would probably see exactly what you want to see or expect to see, like everything else in dreams.
I, on many occasions, have dreamed the “future.” It’s never been any significant event, but it’s happened. One that, for whatever reason, has stuck with me is when I dreamed that we got a new van. It had all sorts of custom stuff added on the inside with wooden benches, etc. The next day my brother-in-law showed up in his new work van, with the interior matching precisely to what I’d dreamed the night before. That was neither the first nor last time it’s happened (the predictive dreaming, not the van ).
I cant see why not. There are alot of instances where people have seen the future, for example crashes and such things.
Plus we only use a third of our brains, im sure we do have the power to see the future. I mean theres some people that can see right through people, into their insides. Yeah scary stuff. And nothings impossible.
But like stricken said, dreams you normally see what you want to or expact to see. so maybe dreams arent the best way of trying to tap into ‘predicting the future’.
Just my thoughts
hmmm predicting the future…
well I think Deja vu is linked to seeing the future.
I think its when you have a dream about the future, but you don’t remember it. So when you go "Oh! I’ve done this before…But where…? ", I think it’s because you don’t remember the dream you saw the future in.
This actually makes sense
I’ve had experiences like a deja vu a few times and now that you mention it, the feeling I got then resembles the one I get when I wake up just can’t remember what I dreamed about.
Sometimes yeah… rarely but yeah.
Well, there are also for the people who believe in the Bible, all those instances in which people were warned of coming events through a dream. When Joseph had the dream that people were coming to kill all the babies, for example.
I am personally convinced that the future can be divined from dreams. I’m a videogame nut (not so much anymore though) & used to dream about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas before it came out. The things I saw were no where near 100% accurate, but the basic gists of what vehicles actually showed up in the real life game were dead-on. I’ll have to update my DJ to include this.
no one can see the future.
