Is it true that a 15 minute nap = 1,5 hour night sleep?

I heard something like this long ago, that apparently a 15 minute nap can make up for about 1,5 hours of night sleep - and fair enough, I do tend to feel very refreshed after falling asleep for 15-20 minutes.
Is this true, and in that case, how is that possible?

Maybe it got something to do that you go straight to RS? Dont know for sure thouhg.

I’ve seen this thing where they don’t have any sleep, just 15 minutes power naps and you are allowed something like 4 of them in one day so you actually sleep for about 1 hour in a day or something.

I think you are referring to überman beanhead as überman is 20min nap or less each 6h, and yes, it is possible, but it requires extremely long time of training

It’s called Polyphasic sleeping and there are a few different styles of it. By styles I mean different cycles you can use and different nap lengths. Read the wiki article or watch some YouTube videos on it. There are people who have trained themselves to do it and have been able to go months or even years sleeping like that. It’s almost like never sleeping actually, every day contintues into the next because you never really sleep for long periods making the day seem endless. Im not sure how it would effect becoming lucid though though. I figure that it would make the WILD and MILD techniques easy because the idea is to go right into REM everytime you go to sleep.
