Is LD'ing dangerous for health?

Topic splitted from the Helpful Hints For Aspiring Lucid Dreamers (it’s a question, not a hint)

ok so i have been close to have lucid dreams for some time now…

but i was wondering if this practice is dangerous for health…

because when you sleep it is to rest your mind… so why activate it??

Hi sandboij! Welcome to the forum!

Lucid dreaming is not dangerous for health. It has been tested over and over by psychologists like Pr Laberge, Pr Tholey and Pr Zadra they didn’t see anything dangerous in it. It can even be useful in overcoming recurring nightmares.

By the way, your assumption about resting your mind while sleeping is incorrect. REM sleep phases are also called paradoxal sleep cause your brain works as if you were awake. And it seems that LD’ing doesn’t really change the brain activity.

thx man, and thx for teleporting my thought here too…

As Basilus said, completely harmless and fun.

Theyre completely harmless like normal dream or nightmare. The danger , its you that create it.
