Is life a dream?

It may sound a little crazy at first glance - but after reading up on ‘Universal Laws’ - most notably the Law Of Attraction - I have come across beliefs of other realities. A subjective reality.
This is all grounded on the basis that whatever we beleive to be true - is.
And that where we are now, coined an ‘Objective Reality’ is only the way it is because of how we think.
Anyway, i suck at explaining things, so heres the definitions straight from the blog i read; (its comparing our waking life to our dream-life)
Objective Reality (OR) is the perspective that you’re the character in the dream world, and the dream world is solid, real, and objective. An OR person wouldn’t normally think of the physical world as a dream at all — they accept the (socially conditioned) notion that the dream world is reality itself. The objective world itself is seen as the basis for knowledge. Note that there can be no proof whatsoever that this is how reality actually works; it’s one giant unprovable assumption. It’s also not falsifiable.

Subjective Reality (SR), as I describe it, is the perspective that your true identity is the dreamer having the dream, so you are the conscious container in which the entire dream world takes place. Your body-mind is your avatar in the dream world, the character that gives you a first-person perspective as you interact with the contents of your own consciousness. But that avatar is no more you than any other character in the dream world. This perspective is also not objectively falsifiable, so it cannot be proven wrong. However, I find it a very rich and empowering way to interact with the dream world of reality on multiple levels.

Ok, well. I guess im asking what do you guys think of this, have you ever came across it before, and does anyone live in SR.

Well…
I guess the SR part could be the place where your SC/soul is?
Do you guys think SR is a collective reality,as,everybody is in one “reality place thingy” or everybody has it’s own?
Sorry…i’m a little sleepy…i’m not so good at understanding…

Anyways, now that i am aware of an even greater reality,i’m going to run into a wall.

We live in a subjective reality.

What humans define as reality is merely a mirage. A reflection of energy being translated by our senses and analyzed by our brain to create this “reality”.

Everyone sees everything in their own way.

Do you think a fly , a snake, or a cell inside of you are aware to the same reality you are aware of?

They are all living in completely different realities. A human analyzes a place mostly from what he sees, the objects etc… A snake, for example, will map the heating centers of the area and will be drawn to them.

I really don’t see any difference between the “dream reality” and the “waking reality”.
The only difference is the vibration, the density.

by the way, Pridak, I see you’re from Romania .
Im coming to Romania today for skiing ^^

I believe in objective reality, but it simply is not to be percieved in subjective terms like those of us humans thus we cannot grasp it in any way. Next to that, I believe one can alter its subjective reality to the point of a dream reality.

No you explained perfectly in prevision!
(i meant to type precision!)

if I said life was a dream
I would not be saying it from the place of knowing
I will say that the place of knowing is incredible,
to take Bill Hick’s words on Tom’s forecast.

sometimes it seems like we are immeasurably alone, but
I realize that it is only when you understand the highest and lowest, that youi can truly penetrate through to help those who are heavily aslumber touch their inner nature, for you can see within them everything that you have been, and peeled away from the onion that is personality

people have say i am serene
my friend has often said to me “your ‘normal’ is someone else’s ‘great’”

the law of attraction connects with the law of karma and all the other universal laws and principles

if one wants to know, can i create anything ?
then they would have to truly put the law to test, in , for instance,
can I really create millions of dollars for myself, by thinking ?

KARMA, is easy enough to watch,
“hmm I seem to be getting into the same sorts of arguments…” clearly we can see LOA in action there
but the trickiness of LOA is that, to create something you do not have karma (momentum + inertia ) for,
requires an extremely vigilant and persistent imagination.

BUT

when you come to the place
where you realize that every thought you think has tremendous power,
you will know,
and the more you go there, the more you will know just how free you are

to be what you wish

the glass
is it half empty
half full ?
or none of the above ?
it is what you feel it is, and then you think
to make life a dream is to unravel, so much
the personality
that everything is so spacious
that you can think freely about whatever you want, for you have not attachment, nor aversion, to any situation,

here is the difference between lucidity and not,

if you are writing an internet post, and you have some sort of problem, you will write and write and write,
this is not free will, because when you look back it you will have said terribly absurd things, that at the time were controlling you such as "I am sooooo angry with him, i am sooooooooo stupid, " etc,
and you think “wait, am i creating that, or is it creating me ?”

lucidity is in having this extremely huge empty box with the cursor flashing in it, and knowing that whatever you write in it, you will become in time.

so one way to free yourself and your mind into serenity is to simply sit down and write whatever is in need of liberating out of your mind, and don’t submit it,
write your big long complaint (as i have often done) but don’t send it, then, maybe, read it, then
write it again and again
until it doesn’t exist anymore
THEN write what you WANT to experience, what makes you happy!

see

in myself I don’t know anything at all, (actually I completely do, words are not working here…)

I only assume that because my mind is capable of stringing these ideas together, that they will swoop in and pick people up, and carry them further in their journeys.

what is called the “Logos”
the stream of thoughts,

is where karma and creations are, and those who habitually still their minds and see beyond the personality’s , become very much able to be in a “dream” in this world, in their own bubble,
because we are all antennas, broadcasting signals, and getting what we put out back to us,

I always thought this when i was little…kind of dumb though…
What if giants are playing with us,with our lives, they make our destiny and stuff…?
And what if when we play with toys,we create realities for them, while in our hands, they’re just toys.
Is this o topic?
Hey Ariel.Where exactly were you?A classmate of mine wnt skiing. Her name is Diana Ziman.
Mabye you know her?
very interesting. I am trying out LOA at this moment in “time” and have seen my affirmations repeated in my dreams- meaning i have set in my subconscious what i wanted to set. but still i repeat my affirmations while i am awake.

I have read that dreams are when our Astral Body or Soul goes to the Astral worlds to learn and experience things, but when we wake up we forget those lessons but our Higher (Inner) Self doesn’t. And in other dreams we are Lucid, controlling, and in some we are just repeating what we did through out the day.

My point being is that we make our own reality. So if you say this life is a dream, then maybe it is. You can make it a dream and experience all that you want. :content: But your desire should be always sought with a positive and good mindset- something that doesn’t hurt others.

So you can make this world - Your reality- a dream in which you have all that you desire with a good mindset. I hope this adds to the topic. I have said what i have learned and think to be true.

Life is a dream, sort of. It is physically real, but all physicality is merely illusion to the inner self. There could be a fractally amount of experience that is capable of being experienced, but the only true is that which cannot be experienced. It is said that anything that can be labeled, any state of mind or plane or whatever, is impermanent and thus unreal, a dream, an illusion.
So yes, life is a dream, but that doesn’t mean that you can do whatever you want without consequences. There are always consequences somewhere for our actions.
I used to be into LOA also, and it truly works, but in the forceful attraction of objects you might make more karma for yourself, or whatever, other consequences that you might not like. So why do it? Why try and get what you WANT in this state of mind, this illusory physical, when you might be setting yourself up for a downfall in the next, whatever it may be? Sure you can get that million dollars if you want, but eventually you realize that you didn’t want it in the first place. Look back at when you were a kid and you wanted all those toys and games and such, and now they’re just meaningless junk. One day we’ll look back at everything and say, boy, what meaningless crap.
You might want to try surrendering instead of the LOA. Get what’s coming to you, and you can’t go wrong. Surrender to existence.
Then again, taking from eyelids post, I am not speaking from the place of knowing. Ignore this post (but thanks for reading :content: )

I dont think just going with the flow is particularly the best way. If you know you can attract what you like, why take a back seat like you were before you knew about the LoA? And what you call letting life flow, its basically you still shaping and moulding your reality, but unconciously. So you will probably still get the same karma.

But i could be wrong, but this works for me, ha.

You are assuming of course that your rational conscious mind is more knowledgeable than the subconscious and can thus better direct its own life. It might be the opposite, though. The subconscious could be a better driver than the conscious. This is what I have found.

If life is a dream, I’ve been doing everything wrong.

Those discussions are very tricky because first you must define your concepts of both life and dreams…
