Is My Brain Mocking Me!!!

[b]hi every body…long time no see(missed you so much)
-actually i stoped trying to have a lucid dream, no its not motivation that made me do that, school did  and the more i get away from dreaming my motivation also gets bad
-i have no LD’s,no ND’s, who am i kiding i have no recall at all :sadyes:
-BUT the last few days i got some recall.that’s not the weird thing, the wierd thing is that my dreams is now more vived, more action  , more remeberbal ,or simply:alot more FUN.
-this is what made me come back here in the first place, for the first time in my life i actually had fun in an ND.(my dreams always suck)
so…is my subconscious trying to make me get back to writing my dreams and having more recall and LD’s or he just moking me or somthing
want to hear your opinions guys :content:

 very funny and cheerful post I have to say.

There is no much you can do, I mean you can try and get back to lucid dreaming, recording your dreams, etc. at least I would suggest that. Because if you don’t you will not know what could have been and that’s the worst thing, believe me!

thanx for the lovely reply
i am going back to writing in my dream journal…but this time i will have a lucid dream
i dont think,i dont wich,i WILL have a lucid dream

I get the impression that you are too eager and frustrated.
Remember that lucid dreams should be something enjoyable, it’s not something you “must” have, it’s something that you should enjoy developing and it should simply be a plus in your life; an icing on the cake, so to speak.

Also, do you have any specific goals?
Lucid dreams are much more likely to appear if you imagine something specific that you want to experience, and then remind yourself while you’re falling asleep that you will have that experience;
try the WBTB method to further increase your chances.

And remember - there really are no failures.
Everything you do or attempt is a kind of experience, which is one step forward.

i know that LD is an enjoyble thing.it’s just that this is the third time that i get :shy: back to lucid dreaming after i stop.my stoping didn’t come from a failure or something.i actually had 3 short lucids in my last attempt.as i said before school made me stop trying but this is not the end of it.because i was planing to get back to trying right back after exams.what made me stop thinking about LDing is motivation.you shall ask why did your motivatong got bad.ill ansewr that the more i dont think about LD(because of school) .The more my motivation gets bad.
so…and to express my Determination(i want it to be sucssuful this time).i said that i WILL have an LD.
hope you understanded what i meant

Just focus on that element of fun you experienced in your last dreams…that feeling of freedom and exploration. That’s what its all about, for me. If you have dreams that are not so much fun or are scary or boring or frustrating…then maybe just view those as indications from your subconscious about whatever it is that might be blocking you from having those joyful, adventurous dreams that you’ve been having lately.

Otherwise, sounds like your subconscious is giving you a nice pep talk…giving you a taste of what awaits you if you can just sort of let go and have fun with it. Very important, what Laurelindo said. Don’t get morbidly obsessed with failure…its just a learning experience and failure, if accepted, is just a fundamental part of success. It took me a YEAR to have my first lucid dream…and when I did, well…you can imagine my excitement and profound happiness. It was better than the best Christmas I have ever had…a gift to myself!

your reply just get my motivation from 70% to 200%
thanx for this helpful advice
as for what Laurelindo said just read the reply above your’s

I actually agree with all replies that have been made in this topic. Funny story in your first post though  I hope you’ll stay motivated to LD now! It’s something I am working on as well, sometimes I have months of not thinking about a LD, and then suddenly I think “Hey, why am I not trying to LD anymore?” also because school distracts me.

I understand that school is kinda in the way at times, but you should still be able to practice LD’s. You just have to find the balance  (Like you should still do your homework)

You could also say to yourself: “After I have made\learned my homework, only then I am going to spend time to read about\spend time on LD’s” (though you may still do RC’s during your homework ofcourse )

That way you’ve done both!

Hope this helps. Keep it up! I’ll try to keep motivated as well, I haven’t had a LD for some time now. Let’s both try it!

You are probably paying more attention to your dreams than you did before you heard about lucid dreaming. There is nothing at all wrong with having fun in a ND, and when it gets busy with school or work, a good dream can be very refreshing! Being busy doesn’t have to come in the way of lucid dreaming, since you just need REM sleep. I hope you still get a decent amount of sleep?

The time we spend sleeping is usually ignored. For us, it is a part of life that can be freely spent, on recreation, learning, inspiration, or whatever you want to use your dreams for. It is good to see that you have also discovered the value of non lucid dreams. A lucid dream, on top of this, is simply a bonus, and no night is a failure.

I don’t think anyone can say it better than you just did, Siiw. Well said!

as you said : Let’s both try it!

thanx siiw :content:
