Is this lucid

Two weeks ago I just finished a cruise in Florida with a bunch of family and friends. The other night I dreamt that I was on the same cruise. But I stoped and thought this is impossible the cruise is already over. Then I thought this must be a dream. I ask a lady near me for the time with out thinking. Her watch said 9:30. She turned to talk to someone else and I looked at the watch again. This time it read E:45. I thought YES I’m dreaming. I immediatly wanted to fly. but water surrounded the ship and I didn’t want to drown if I was wrong. I tried sticking my head into a nearby puddle on the deck but I couldn’t get my face more than 2" from the water surface. Satisfied that I couldn’t drown I ran toward the railing on the deck and jumped off the side. I immediatly began to fly. However I noticed that I couldn’t feel anything. The wind in my face the smell of the salt air. All the stories I’ve heard about other people’s lucid dream make it seem like it’s reality. However here I was flying. The other thing was that I couldn’t fly with speed. I kept trying to speed up but no matter how hard I tried I could only go fast enough to keep myself in the air.
Comparing it to an experiance from before it was much different. I think that last year I was on the verge of a lucid dream. I remember that I realized I was dreaming and felt an immediate rush of cool air encompass my body. It felt like I was falling at a hundred miles an hour. I became to excited and it started to dwindle. However I was able to gain my composure and it started again. After this happened a couple times I became too excited and I lost it.
This is my first dream like this. Is it a lucid dream and will all my next dreams be that boring?

you knew it was a dream so it was lucid and if you controlled where you wanted to go or do or say then it is.

My lucid dreams are the same way - I realize that I am dreaming and then fly, but my senses (besides vision) don’t seem to be working. It doesn’t even seem like I am really there right at the moment because I only seem to remember it, not experience it. It’s hard to describe but I think that it is the same as what you are saying.

In general we don’t pay enough attention to our senses besides vision (and hearing) in waking life anyway, so unless we conciously try to it is hard to carry those sensations over to dreams.
