Is WILD hard?

Is WILD harder than other stuff? Cuz with WILD I don’t need good DR, right? Or do I?

It feels like when I’m good at WILD, it will be easier to have Ld’s whenever I want …?

C ya!

I have five years of practice under my belt and I still haven’t succeeded in even a minor WILD.

I’m guessing it’s just not a skill of mine.

Five years??

I’ve read that it’s hard

its only hard if you think it is. try it with wbtb

Yeah, Maybe I should give it a try

Every technique works different for everyone… you should try WILD too, maybe you’ll find it very easy for you… I hope you will

I know that you should probably be a very relaxed person who falls asleep easily without other thoughts intruding.

I think it’s difficult for me because I’m a very alert person.

The closest I’ve ever gotten was floating out of my bed – my darn cat ruined my chance though by jumping onto the mattress… I’ve also seen flashes of white light and felt moth wings in my ear (that one freaked me out quite a lot). The hardest part for me is falling asleep…

I don’t know if i’m a relaxed person. I find it pretty hard to concentrate on only one thing without start thinking of something else

oh, wow 5 years?

I was a little kid (6 years old) when I first WILDed

though it was unintentional…

the first intentional time i got it

Anyways

WILD is easy if you make it so

the tough part is remembering you are falling asleep, and not letting your short-attention span get you.

I suggest, NO CAFFIENNE at all

You can try a mantra, or you could daydream

What I did one time, is pretend i’m doing a presentation in front of my class at school.
I explain all about sleep and lucid dreaming, and by doing that I keep my focus continoiusly changing, but keeping it to where it is beneficial

You have to be very motivated to do this however, and to me it helps if you, when waking up late at night, run around or throw water in your face, and go to sleep RIGHT AFTER WARDS

Don’t expect to get it the first time

Though, you could also induce a nightmare, and swear not to fall asleep, and you will, while thinking you were awake the entire time, until you spot some HI

anyways, good luck

I’ve probably been doing it wrong. :content:

i did it, wbtb. + wild it was an amazing experience

WILD is harder to do than DILD or MILD because you have to be able to concentrate on one thing to avoid slipping into a normal dream…the best thing to do is use it after WBTB, so go to sleep for 6 hours, get up for 90 mins and then go back to bed for 90 mins, do WILD when you get back to bed…because you’ll have already been to sleep, you’ll fall into a dream a lot faster, you just need to be able to concentrate until you do.

If you do plenty of RCs though, you should be fine, if you can pull off WILD, that’s good, otherwise you still have the possibility of a DILD :content:

I’m the same. I find it hard to focus on one thing till i fall asleep. I find that i get distracted really easily and when i hear something or something my mind will wander and i have to start over :grrr:

i tried it jesterday and i almost did it, but i got scared of the rushing sound and i started hyperfentilating… it was realy embarising

I tried WILD + WBTB and didn’t go anywhere  all it did was kept me awake all night, well not all night I think I got a couple of ND. I stayed up around 30 minutes. I think if I stay up too long I might not get sleepy anymore.

I never wanted to try WILD, cause I was uncomfortable with SP, but since MILD isn’t working I guess I have no choice.
