It's high time we as a community build a REM LD device?

Hey Guys,

It’s so easy to make a REM ld mask, here’s how

all you need is a photoelectric sensor, that’s all that the novadreamer, remdreamer is.

It has a photoelectric sensor an interface to a PC and some batteries, clock, this and that. Instead of paying 200 dollars for these devices we could build our very own. People on here had tried doing so in the past, but the hardest thing was getting a rem sensor. Not anymore, google ‘photoelectric sensor’ read the wiki

Well I have given you now what to look for, I don’t know anything about electronics. So someone on here should be able to build this thing and should only cost like 5 or 10 dollars to build.

EDIT1: Just been browsing the net, and found that there are ready built photoelectric sensors with timers, they are expensive, but this way you could buy them and use them straight away for lucid dreaming. But it would be a nicer fit if we could build one into a mask.

EDIT2: better would be a photoelectric motion sensor or a photoelectric motion detector.

By making something like that smaller and fitted inside a sleep mask, this already has an LED which lights up every time it detects movement. They are for security in your home. A smaller version can easily be made into a sleep mask, these are very accurate.

EDIT3: This is awesome a mini photoelectric sensor, it’s tiny check out the dimensions. We could put that into a sleep mask automationworld.com/products-5150

This is the company talked of in the above article link to seller removed they start at just $43 and there is one in this product selector in the link that has a timer.

Look at this flat circular one link to seller removed

EDIT4: Buy this for $8 and strip it link to seller removed

EDIT5: this is perfect, battery operated, LED blinking lights, IR sensor, link to seller removed

EDIT6: This is about 8.5CM across and 5 cm in height, if we can strip the case and change the LED’s to blinking led’s then we could get this into a sleep mask.

EDIT7: Here are some interesting tutorials to make some of the things I have posted

Just what we need tiny IR motion sensor which is used in the mario project. link to seller removed

lot’s of links to sellers removed, please read guidelines. I understand some of the things are unclear now but I didn’t want to remove too much otherwise the post would become totally incomprehensible

I made one myself a couple of months back…worked to…but i found it to uncomfortable to sleep with

TBH…

Making a REM LD Device would be really costly, even though it might be cheaper than a NovaDreamer or another LD device, your just better of buying LaBerge’s device.

r u kidding,

you can make a REM LD device for no more than $10

Hey Guys,

I am looking to build this LD mask

cre.ations.net/creation/face-mou … aming-mask

scroll down the page for the source code

Here is the assembly guide:

cre.ations.net/creation/assembli … -dreaming- mask

So the PIC chip being used is the PIC 16F88, now I have been looking into getting a PICAXE chip like the PICAXE 18X which is just a PIC 16F88 with some bootstrap code flashed to it. What I want to do is translate the source code of the PIC16F88 to the PICAXE language. I was wondering if any of you guys know how to do this? It should be relatively easy as the chips are based on each other so the source code should be similar as both chips have 18 pins and there pins must correspond to one another correctly. So the value and one and zeros could be changed rather easily.

Can anyone help me with this?

Many thanks in advance
