It's not FLDs ... what is it?

Hey everyone,

in another topic I found the following definition of a false lucid dream:

This definition is very interesting to me because lately, a similar yet different thing is happening to me. For example, this night I realized during a dream that I was dreaming, even the grass I was seeing got greener.

However, I was not able to think normally, also I couldn’t see my environment clearly. I don’t even know if I was standing on the grass or flying above it. The only thing I was doing was rubbing my hands to improve the experience, but it was more of a reflex that a conscious decision. Anyhow, I hadn’t much time to think because while I was still rubbing my hands and trying to spin (which wasn’t really working, couldn’t figure out how to do it) the dream faded and ended.

So what is this meaning? Referring to the quote above, I would say that I have the consciousness of a lucid dreamer, but not the behaviour  So it’s not a false lucid dream, but what is it? A false normal dream?

Thank you for your opinions,
Jokep

That would be a lucid dream with low lucidity. Not all LD’s are going to be perfectly crystal clear, and you won’t always have full control either. Just like ND’s, your level of awareness can change from dream to dream. In some cases you can have so little lucidity that you forget you are dreaming and wind back up in an ND. I hope that helped, let us know if you have any other questions :content:

It exactly does look more like a Ld than a FLD to me. First lucid dreams never go as hoped. Many wake up, many lose lucidity again in a seconds and only a rare few actually get to do something thats on their to do list.

Excellent, that’s what I wanted to hear! Thank you
