It's safe, right?

The vibrations and audio hallucinations that some experience when going into WILD, I went through them about four or five time in a row this morning because my mind was unable to sleep. After about the third time, one of my ears was aching. That was completely unrelated to the hallucinations, right? Sorry if this post is worded awkwardly, I’m both slightly blurry eyed from just waking up and quite excited because I feel it led to my first “true” WILD.

It should be. The only thing that may be scarry is just the sounds, if you feel it is too much then lay off and just rely on DILD or something else, but if you feel it is a problem then stop. But other than that WILD is 100% safe (only scary at times because of SP) so there should be nothing to worry about

I find the noises and other hallucinations enjoyable, I was just making sure I wasn’t damaging my ears or anything. Thanks.

Well,… YES! 3 minutes can be considerate little time! But if this happens exactly when you were trying the WILD Technique, proofs that were, in fact, having Hallucinations… Well Congratulations, you get really close to have a LD in one of the most difficult Techniques!!!

If SP wasn’t safe for you, you wouldn’t go through it every night while asleep. But SP can be painful, yes, but it isn’t necessarily. You may need to move to relieve the pain, but generally, SP isn’t painful and it certainly isn’t harmful.

Miguel… are you sure you posted that in the right thread?

Vera, thanks. I was tired and jumped to conclusions after having what felt like a loud noise blasting into my ears four or five times.

The hallucinations (audio, vision, emotions etc…) ar all caused by your brain, that is, your imagination. It has nothing with your physical body to do, so it shouldn’t be physically harmful. It’s all in your head.
I can’t say what caused your ear to hurt though.

We’ve had a lot of people talk about things like elevated heart rate during WILD attempts. I’ve felt it myself, actually. At first I really did worry about it, but then one time I actually took my pulse as I was getting the feeling. Completely normal. That’s when I realized just how far HH can really go.

In short, yes it is perfectly safe, and most uncomfortable feelings are just in your head. I guess I should be a responsible adult and say if you feel an extreme amount of pain, you should probably stop just to make sure… but meh. Being an adult is overrated
