Ok, so I’ve known about ld for awhile and I have lds every once in awhile. But here’s the problem. When I become lucid, I get this weird sensation of being in two places at once. Like I clearly see my dreamworld, but I can kinda feel my head against the pillow and my physical movements feel limited because I fear I may start acting them out. I soon wake up after this. It’s like me turning lucid makes my real body want to wake up. It’s really weird. Any tips…?
I guess you should pay more attention on dream world and dream body then waking world and body… Even the smallest worry about moving your body in waking life will kick you out from lucid dream, I know…
I had the similar problem with nose RC… Few times I woke up after doing it and I develop theory that I maybe breath out from a dream and that I disrupt automatic breathing therefore I break SP and that’s why I wake up… BUT I was soooo wrong… The thing is that as I though about that in waking life then I started to think about that in a dream too and I would wake up regularly after ever nose RC.
Then I stop thinking about that possibility and from that point on everything was ok. The point is that you can’t act out because of SP and that’s something you need to accept in waking life and in dream… When you do that your problem will be solved…
Good luck!
Does this only happen during DILD’s? If you become lucid during a normal dream try focusing on something in your dream so you don’t wake up. your attention could be placed on your hands or you could try spinning. it’s also possible to zoom in on an object or grab an object or dream character. hope that helps
I get this problem alot, too, when WILD’ing (is that a word? XD)
Sometimes, it will go away if you try to ignore your physical body and put more thought into the feelings of your dream body… really simple things; your footsteps, the wind (if there is wind), ect. Or rub your hands against something like a wall. But yeah, the “double body” feeling will usually go away if you ignore it early on. Hope this helps
Try talking in the dream body, just say things like, “increase lucidity” or “focus” anything like that may help you lose contact with waking body.
