I’m not sure what happened, but my dreams and dream recall have just dropped like a rock. I went from recording some 4, 5 dreams a week to none at all over the past 2 weeks or so.
I need to get the juice flowing again. I found my old pen that i originally used to write my dreams down, and figured maybe that was why i had stopped, for breaking the sort of ritualistic feeling of it. No dice.
Any advice to get the dreams back down on paper?
Moved from Quest forum since it’s about remembering normal dreams.
have any of your habits changed? what is the last thing you do before bed? I find staying up late on the computer suppresses my recall, it went from virtually gone to recalling every night, even if not perfectly.
I’ve also found that staying up late on the computer suppresses my dream recall. If I go to bed around 8pm my dream recall and my LD’s happen much more often. I usually get up around 6am. Hope this helps
One is getting your rituals back IE. the pen you used before, the time you used to go to bed etc.
You can try autosuggestion, “I will remember my dreams when I wake up”
There’s recall aids, like bananas and dairy products, to eat before bed.
And look at this, #Six found a mantra for remembering dreams, I just discovered it
Also remember that your recall is proportional to the amount of details you want to remember and write down so just keep wishing for more, dreams can be hours long and you’ll almost always have more to write!
Aye, I’ve actually got a motion tracker for my bed, apparently i’ve been in REM for 3, 4 hours straight before. I was a little disappointed at not REMEMBERING it, but still.
