It shows that I’m INFP, but some parts of the descriptions… I dunno, doesn’t exactly sound like me. In the big picture they got it all right, but when it comes to the details, they got it all wrong lol. But I’ll settle for it.
Seems like this test assumes that people are ALWAYS the same, which I don’t think they are. To all rules there are exceptions, even personal, moral rules. People change overtime, and they tend to change with context aswell. The way you feel and act around your friends may not be the same as the way you feel around your mother or around your boyfriend/girlfriend.
I have problems with tests such as these. It attempts to categorize and put labels onto peoples personalities. Trying to label people in this way diminishes them, by superficially looking at a few traits and then categorizing them. Labels are fine for organizing silverware or fictiona nd non-fiction at the bookstore, but trying to fit into 4 letters is rather self limiting.
A small rant, but I know someone who takes this particular test far too seriously and its rather sad. People should be themselves, not what a test tells them to be.
Nicely put, ferks. I was going to post something like this, but I later forgot. In all, there are only sixteen types listed; sixteen! All this test really does is give you a general idea about yourself, but I do agree that it’s detrimental to take this too seriously. Just remember that your one of a kind, and enjoy your life.
Instead of sixteen types, I’d say that the types of personalities are equal to the current world population.
I found this quote while reading today and it seemed quite appropriate for this:
Its from “Freedom from the Known” if you are interested in his work. To understand ourselves we must break free from other peoples understanding and beliefs. You can not truly be yourself when you are trying to follow other peoples understanding of an individual or (personality type). By attempting to understand yourself in terms of any system you must supress yourself in some ways in order to conform to the system.
Your type is: INTP
INTP - “Architect”. Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.
ENFP here with a 22 88 25 56 rating. I find it prett accurate for the most part.
Here they describe me as a Champion Idealist, which is fairly right although I’m not obsessed as much as they suggest about being authentic, although it is important to me.
Here they do into more detail about specific behaviour, and by and large they are right. However, I’m extremely good at math and programming, getting things exactly right is important to me, and I am not at all dependant on the opinions of friends and family. The most I ask for is respect, and acknoledgement that my actions are my own.
This is more or less correct. Nothing I strongly disagree with.
This career guide is funny, because I’ve actually seriously considered every single one of their career choices, lol.
