so last night i became lucid and told an old man he was not real. he insisted he was real. i then affirmed to him, “no, no you are not!” he then looked sad, and i told him i wanted him to disapear, i expected him to go poof like smoke, but he did not he just looked really sad and walked away.
isn’t it weird how things work like that sometimes? i also did other things like be a vampire but that’s something else haha.
well something i would almost like to do is just beat one up haha. i know i sound mean but isnt’t hat what lucids are for? i actually told my boss in this lucid how i felt bout him and my job too haha
Everything in a dream has amount of detail proprortional to the attention you give it, so for most DC’s the solution is just to look away and ignore them.
With practice, however, you can always make it disappear in front of your eyes, or change it into someone else, you have to imagine a way to do that however (that feels “reasonable” enough to you to do in a dream) and a reason for that too (example: you create a black hole below his feet, because the CERN is near there and the scientists have been playing a bit too much). I’ll write somehing more articulated on the subject shortly.
lol nice, i hope to have another lucid soon, my new years resolution for 2010 is to be able to have a lucid on command. i think im doing pretty decent so far!
Yeah I do that too man haha.
It’s usually because my dreams are often short so I want to do things as fast as I can before I wake up. Doesn’t help at all though.
I had a lucid three (?) nights ago (!!!). it was amazing. i usually rush a great bit, but this time i had a sense of urgency, but not a rush. it was one of my calmest yet.
get ready for an lol:
i was thinking that i should do something to occupy my mind. i walked down a hallway…nothing…nothing appealing to do, no ideas coming to me…bathroom. ok, so i go to the bathroom in my first LD in a while. . had to keep my mind active, right?
this was one of my most calm LDs, and for maybe the first time, when it was ending (it was about 4 min long i would say) i was thinking that it was a good stopping point instead of fighting it. a new stone unturned for me. i wouldn’t worry about having rushed LDs, I’d imagine eventually you say…hey, i’ve been here before.
I LOVE it when that happens! it’s so peaceful to end a LD without struggling. The last LD I had this I just let go and started floating up towards the grey clouds ^^
