LC #25, Winner: Solaris! Congratulations!

Calculating scores now, final task will be up soon :content:

I had a long ld yesterday! Didn’t do any tasks though. It is difficult to post from the phone…

ld4all.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=592846#592846
Short LD.

Points go as follows, and I’m trying to calculate current standings…

The Scientist: Those three short LD’s will get you |60 lucid points + 5 regaining lucidity|

James_uk2008: Congratulations on that LD. You get the points you mentioned plus 10 more since it was your longest LD ever :content:

Solaris: Correct, and don’t forget the points from your other medium LD you posted on Sunday! If I scored correctly, you did not beat your previous score become an artist score. And for completing your personal task you get |+ 30 pts|. Congratulations!

idanl09: I’ll go ahead and count that :content: . For becoming a super hero you get |30 task + 20 early + 10 sidekick= 60pts|

Siiw: |+40 lucid pts| for your long LD.

Hex: Short LD gets you |+20 lucid pts|

Ok guys, home stretch!

Final Task: Time Travel

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like in 50 years? How about marching across the Alps with Hannibal? Well, now you get your chance! Zoom across time and space and see what you can find. Maybe you’ll witness Earth’s first contact with another planet, stop the Titanic from sinking, or observe the end of time itself!

-For traveling through time +30 pts
-For traveling to multiple different times +10 pts for every time you visit
-For traveling to both the past and the future in the same dream +20 pts

Now let’s rewrite some history books:

-If you meet a historical figure (or someone who will be a historical figure) + 10 pts per person
-For taking place in a historical event + 20 pts per event
-If you change the course of history itself you get +30 pts every single time you do it!

This task is by far able to award the most points, but it might be the most difficult. Because of this, you’re going to get all the way until Monday before it’s over. Make use of this time to complete as many tasks as possible!

Finally after almost exactly a month I became lucid again last night.
Woke up at 3 am with a splitting head/neck ache and got up to take a Tylenol. I found myself wide awake and decided to make some warm milk with honey to coat my stomach (cause of the Tylenol) and browse the LD4all forum. I read a post on exploring when lucid and thought that was a neat idea. Went to bed at 4 and made an affirmation to explore and really see what was in my dream if I were lucid.
Had a long dream with multiple FAs.
I don’t remember what triggered that I was dreaming but I found myself doing the thumb through hand RC; it didn’t work! I knew however that I was dreaming and decided to just let myself fall forward, knowing that if I was dreaming I would not hit the ground hard but float over it. I do remember thinking that if I was not dreaming that this was gonna hurt! I was definitely dreaming though, and really happy that I was lucid again. I flew through the glass window (which really feels weird) and over some amazing scenery. I remembered to pay attention to my surroundings which I did. The houses were all small and very colorful, so were the flowers and the trees. As if I was looking through Polaroid sunglasses. I ended up in a salon for some reason. There were amazing paintings hanging on the wall. I asked the nearest lady if she had painted them, but she didn’t answer and just looked at me if I were crazy. I didn’t know what to do there so I flew back out. As I was flying I was gaining speed and got slightly worried because I was heading to a huge black cloud and didn’t seem to be able to change direction. I told myself not to worry, and see if I could feel the raindrops. I flew through the cloud but didn’t feel anything. Instead I ended up heading into space. As I was going up I started to change my mind and tried to turn around, but a loud voice said, Oh no you don’t!" and pushed me into space. It was scary but also amazing and beautiful. I saw loads of stars and something resembling the milky way. There were many colors in it, orange, yellow, red and purple. I found myself floating and looking around. at some point there were these huge ragged rocks floating past me, a whole bunch of them like an asteroid belt. That was so weird but at the same time really cool.
At that point I lost lucidity and woke up, except I was not awake, more like a FA. I tried to chain and get back into my dream and succeeded, but found myself back into the salon with the paintings. This time I decided to interact with the galls there. The dream continued but I fell in and out of lucidity, which was really weird. I had never had that happen before. It was as if I knew I was dreaming the whole time, but had very little control, and only once in a while told myself that I was lucid and only once in a while chose to change the direction of the dream. Really odd. I did not remember the superhero quest, but I found myself flying in a Peter Pan outfit, over a bunch of little children who were ecstatically watching me fly. I was talking to them and interacting and gave them a really good time. I felt a little like a super hero. (haha)
 I guess I have to find that program of yours again!

:ack: How did I not see that last task coming!? :hmmm: I got another LD last night in which I chained and caught a fleeting glimpse of my DG. It’s progress.
Outlines
Oh, look, a dream! Cool! I get out of bed and start rubbing my hands, as per the routine. The dream is pretty unstable, but I’m comfortable enough to start walking downstairs. While I do so, I remember that I wanted to look for dreamsigns to help maintain my lucidity. I look to my left, where I should see a tree and a picture of my brother and me. I saw a tree, but only its leaves. It was like “Bedridden,” in which my hands were invisible. I could tell a trunk and branches should be there, but they weren’t. I also saw a picture, but only an outline instead of a full-color photograph. Between the tree and the picture, I got the sense that the dream was still being booted up. I was also creeped out.[HI] Oh, wait…

[chain]

That’s[/HI] more like it. I “woke up” again. I’m getting sick of that. I spent a bit more time getting the dream to a decent level of stability this time. That’s when I had a brilliant idea.
I said “The vividness is increasing,” or something like that. As a result, the dream quality instantly got much better. I also noticed that my vision was blurred in the exact same way as it is IRL when I’m not wearing my glasses. So, I “put on” my glasses (which were in my “pocket”). That seemed to help, and my vision got progressively better over time. I walk out of my room again and call for my DG, hoping to get some points for the LC, along with some help.
“Dream Guide! Dreeeeaaaam Guuuiiiiiide!” I called, thinking for a moment that it was futile.
Then, a female voice sounded from downstairs saying something along the lines of “I’m coming, no need to yell.” The dream was fading, so I spun a bit (it still makes me dizzy) and turned around to see what looked like my brother lying on the stairs. I knew he (she?) was my DG. The dream faded, though, and I made a weak, pitiful attempt to get help from him/her. I even stretched my arm out as if he/she could pull me out of the
fading dream. I couldn’t chain after that.
Last task already? I’ll have to try extra hard then.

By the way, I had a medium lenght lucid dream while I was away, but it had nothing to do with any of the tasks. :content:

KauaiDreamer: I need to know exactly how many times you regained lucidity so I can properly award bonus points :content:

The Scientist: You didn’t tell me the length  . I’m going to guess it was long, so |40 long + 5 chaining = 45 lucid pts|

Puce: One medium lucid gets you |30 lucid pts|. Btw, I hope your trip was fun

I didn’t realize that if I got lucid more times in one night that it counted. Sorry!
I had about 3 false awakenings so I was lucid 4 times. However the last 2 lucid times I was lucid in the sense that I knew I was dreaming and lucid, but chose to follow the dreamline and did very little of my own, meaning that I didn’t change anything.

Sorry about that, Rhawin. Sadly, no, it was only about two minutes long. So I actually get 25 points. :content:

I had another lucid last night. Unfortionately my dream recall is pretty bad at the moment, so I don’t remember much of it. That’s okay, because I don’t think anything interesting happened in it  Basically I was fully conscious, but did not know for sure if I was dreaming or not. I think I did some stuff around my house, but that was about it. It was medium length.

It’s quite hard to keep the quality of your LD’s high if you have this many of them, but I guess that’s a luxury problem

I had a lucid moment.
I listened to music and then unplugged the headphones, and the music didn’t stop playing, I knew I was lucid but it was too late.

KauaiDreamer: for your long LD you get |40 long + 15 regaining lucidity = 55 lucid pts|

The Scientist: Okie Dokie

Solaris:

Isn’t that the truth  ? |30 lucid pts|

idanl09: |10 lucid pts| for you :content:

Two more LD’s.

SPOILER - Click to view

The first one was a short moment of lucidity at the end of my dream. I was watching the night sky from my balcony, and nothiced that instead of falling stars there were showers of stars falling upwards. I had time for one or two short conversations with people who happened to be in my house before the dream ended.

SPOILER - Click to view

The second was a bit longer. I was an unknown land where people were still primitive. My job was to construct an airport, but these people had no understanding of technology. The first thing I did when I became lucid was eating a lot of french fries and hamburgers. Somehow I always have a great appetite in my dreams  The people in this country were quite hungry as well, so we ate a lot of food together.

As I walked onto the area where the airport was supposed to be built I noticed a hangar nearby. It reminded me of the time capsule I needed to use to complete the challenge. The dream ended as I entered it, so no luck completing it though

I had a Really LONG LD! something like 15min, but it’s counts for me as medium…for some stupid reason.
I remembered the LC and I walk in a closet and heard a song(I wanted to go to the future), new song I don’t know(Something with count to 3), and when I exit the closet everything was the same.
The rest of the dream I’ll post later

idanl09: is 15 minutes really an average length LD for you? That’s great if it is, but if not you might have your time scale off. Medium is supposed to be the length of a normal LD for you…

I was wrong about the time.
15min is LONG for me, 5min is medium.
So make it long
The full dream:
I’m in my living room.
I see a cat from the last dream I had, I do a RC, and…I’m dreaming!!!
Suddenly, I’m on my bed, I decied to relax and breathe deeply few times.
I get of the bed and don’t know what to do…, then I remember the LC.
I enter to the closet and try to focus on the future, I hear an unkown song “When you’ll see, you’ll count to 3”.
I exit the closet and nothing happend…(I didn’t think about time, about how much year after, silly me.)
I again fall asleep, do RC and wake up again on my bed.
I decied to bring a famous israeli actress(Shani Cohen), I do it 2 times, and then in the 3rd time I see her,
in her natural height!!!(It’s amazing how the brain knows exactly what’s are height difference)
I try to bring Ashton Kutcher but fail.
I walk out of the room, I see my brother’s door locked, and the other brother’s door slightly open.
I noticed a cool thing, on the table in his room, I see 2 glases and one plate, and every time I move the door,
the color and shape of the glases and the plate are changing, I did it till they changed to a kettle.
