As frustrating as it can be sometimes, every time you get a really good LD you remember why you kept on looking at your hands and getting up in the middle of the night.
As you say, it’s a candy of life, and just as candy, obsessing about it isn’t healthy. In moderation, however, it’s great.
I had my first one after trying for months and months, the second a month after that, the third a week after that. Now I have them frequently, usually not longer then three days apart. Lately I wake up with countless fragments of me becoming lucid in the night.
When I take enough time to sleep I have a LD almost always, been like that for all my life, so, well, I never gave too much importance to it, as a kid I used it as a game though, using it as a way to vent my frustrations from during the day, being able to do everything I was’nt allowed in real life.
Never gave it much importance to be honest, you kinda take things for granted if you’ve had them since you remember.
And apart from venting I’ve never found a real practical use.
Well… It depends on how much you try - The more you try, the more LD’s you’ll have - you can have a LD once a month, and you can have it every night, or even twice a night
Well… i used to have LDs quite often but now i dont have time for WBTB and just cant be bothered to… i just want some noraml sleep with some not so normal NDs! Hmmm… actualy… i think i’m gonna start LDing again soon
i havent had any Lds yet but my recall is great now and i started to dream about dreaming (finally!!!) and also i managed to go back to some dreams after waking from them… i hope i will manage to combine all that to a LD soon!
