Okay, so when I was a kid, a friend of mine mentioned something I now recognise as Dream Incubation. He said that he could say or think the words “I wish, I wish, I wish, to dream about…” and then name what he wanted to dream about. I didn’t believe him at first, but decided to try it, and it worked!
I’ve used a similar technique for LDing, and always thought of it as WILD, but KT4all said it may be different, as it is more LD incubation, rather than staying conscious until sleep.
So, my question is simple. Is this WILD, or a new technique altogether?
It looks pretty much like autosuggestion to me, and it’s been used for LDing, as some kind of MILD. It’s even explained in the LD4all guide, as a way to help dream recall. I personally use it as a WBTB aid, to wake up with no alarm, just like Fate.
I’ve had success with autosuggestion months back. I haven’t tried it a lot lately, as I’ve favored WILD over it, but it yields good results for being such a simple tech.
