For some reason I LD better during the day, so this afternoon I was taking a nap. I’m to the point now that I often fall asleep automatically into an LD, and that’s what happened this afternoon. I enjoy my LD’s but I don’t think that I am getting the full experience. During my LD’s I have serious trouble getting my dream self out of the position that I am asleep in, like turning my head to look at things and such. My head feels extremely heavy and tired and I have an immense amount of trouble moving about. The shear stress of trying to move my head often causes me to wake up. This is my main issue because what good is an LD if I can’t explore the dreamscape. I also have another problem where when I am asleep I experience something like a split screen - where the dreamscape is on the bottom and the real world (the place where I am sleeping) is on the top. Sometimes the dreamscape is super-imposed on the real world. When I experience this I sometimes catch myself blinking my eyes, yet I still remain asleep. These seem like pretty unique issues to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That does sound frustrating Socrates, have you tried rubbing your hands together or spinning?
Actually moving my arms is no trouble. It’s mostly my head. It feels tired and stiff. (I generally look at my hands while in a dream just to make sure that I am dreaming).
I have the exact same problems. Sometimes it’s easier than others…but when I know I am in that state to move my dream body, it’s so difficult.
Have you tried moving with your mind instead of your body?
